Good basic book

Xmas gift for girl as she loves making things from scraps, was excited to take photos of all her creations really good for the imagination definitely buy again

This kit is not so much a design kit, but a glorified sewing kit. The design aspect is nothing more than a small blank notepad. There are no instructions for the user on how to create any dolls’ clothes. The pictures and the videos are misleading. The 2 mannequins have slots down the back where you can push the fabric instead of pinning and sewing it. The instructions explain only how to put the mannequin together. There are no instructions on any sewing techniques such as gathering, fitting or attaching garment pieces together.Equipment required for sewing such as needles, scissors, pins, clips, little bits of thread are included, as well as a six inch strip of Velcro. The amount and the variety of fabric is good. I was disappointed in the trimmings. I would have liked more variety. Many of the trimmings are sequins and ‘crystals’ that you can buy at your local craft shop and are usually used to stick onto paper, not fabric. Some sew on crystals are included, but they are very large in comparison to the size of the dolls.

My nice is very creative and she love to do her own disain clothes for her dolls. This have many various pieces what she can use. She specifically love the little diamonds and stickers to add spark to her new creations. It is perfect for children who are creative or just like to play.
