Rubber-Cal Treadmill Mat

I ordered 2 of these mats as a barrier between home gym equipment and newly-installed hardwood flooring. Both mats were cut asymmetrically. The longer sides are straight, but one has a small chunk missing. The short sides are NOT straight all. One has a big curve cut out, curving inwards as much as 2 inches, the other short side on the same mat was cut at an angle, resulting in one corner being 3 1/2 inches off from the other. I have not measured the other mat yet; the poor cut is still apparent but a little less obvious. I am going to have to trim them myself to get them to properly cover the areas along the walls of the room. I definitely would NOT recommend these mats to any one who needs the size that is advertised in the product description, needs the mat to fit in a corner that is your typical 90 degree angle, and/or wants something that look nice right out of the box without trimming it yourself. The strong odor of rubber tire was somewhat expected, but my rating is primarily due to the lack of product quality and the complete absence of quality control.

Man, who wants to pay so much for a mat? Of course, when you look at the cheaper end of things everything is mostly made of garbage. So I bit the bullet and got this one despite some reviews that had me wondering.It all worked out well. The mat arrived in good condition. It was of suitable thickness and really helps control vibration. It gives the treadmill a fairly solid base on the carpet. It did have a bit of a smell, which I would consider normal for this type of product, but it did go away after a few days and was never an issue or noxious.

I ordered two of these and they were deliverered today. The size is great. Check out the pictures of the condition they arrived in. Beware.

This mat has been great for the Sole F85 treadmill. Most of the mats were just a tad too narrow and I prefer to have my mat overlap the treadmill and not vice versa. I have not moved the treadmill since I placed it there about 30 days ago, so I do not know if there is color transfer to the carpet underneath. I have lifted the treadmill belt (the back) and can report that the mat isn’t fazed by that.

The mat is what else? A rubber mat! But it's perfect if you need a rather larger mat for your gym equipment.The mat is thick as it needs to be, not too heavy nor too light. It works wonders on reducing the transfer of noise and vibration to the downstairs apartment.It's easy to clean and protects your floor rather efficient.The heat produced by the treadmill will not affect this mat and it will not come apart like others do.It's not completely black, as you will see specks of white or other colors all around the mat surface on both sides.It works well over carpet and over other types of flooring (tested the noise reduction capacity by moving the treadmill around the different floors).The price is ok if you can get it to be shipped to you for free.

It fit well and I'm very pleased with the purchase. I had read the reviews and some mentioned a rubber smell and other did not. I didn't notice it that much when I took it out of the box but it got steadily worse. By the time I realized it was pretty bad, the smell had already permeated half the house so I just left it. In hindsight, it would have been an excellent idea to roll it out in the garage or outside for a couple of days before you bring it in the house. The smell went away in a few days but it might be a problem to those who are really sensitive to odors. I suspect this is characteristic of most mats. Just leave it outside to air for a couple of days to air out and it will be totally fine. Overall, it's a great mat.

This mat is not heavy enough to handle the weight of rolling a treadmill on top of it (it is only 3/16" thick..very light weight)...it ripples, buckles, and shifts when you move your treadmill in place. I tried 5-10 times to roll my treadmill on top of it and it wouldn't stay in place (my wife heard a lot of choice words coming out of the basement). I finally stacked 45 pound plates on the four corners and that sort of did the trick (still a small amount of shifting but it was acceptable).This is more of a heavy duty yoga mat. I use horse stall mats for my weight racks and benches. I'll be replacing this mat very soon. I paid around $75 for this mat and it is definitely overpriced for the quality. The horse stall mats, which I purchased at Tractor Supply (4 FT. X 6 FT. X 3/4 IN.) usually cost $40 each and are extremely heavy duty. I recommend the horse stall mats for all gym equipment.

The thickness is perfect and the material is extremely durable. The smell isn't horrible and only lasts a day or so. I have this protecting my thick Burber carpet, and it does not bunch up or crease.

I bought this for my new treadmill and it is very good quality. The following week I saw a similar mat at Costco for $20 so I bought 2 for my home gym. I laid this and the Costco one side by side and they are identical, same thickness and density. I was happy with this until I found out that I can get the similar mat locally for 1/4 the price.

Works great under our treadmill, it was about 6" wider than we needed so I cut it with heavy scissors and now it's perfect. It stunk for a week or so, but it's rubber, so what do you expect?

Great mat. A little rubber smell at the beginning but only lasted for a week. Great for correcting floor with my treadmill

I thought it would be thicker... does not eliminate vibration on my treadmill. My treadmill is located though upstairs on wooden flooring so I don't think it's possible to fully eliminate anyways
