I don't think I've ever fixed this much food on the stove.
So, let me tell you a bit about us.My wife and I have been married 22 years, now, and we've never enjoyed cooking on the stove. We cook in the Microwave, toaster oven, normal oven, and air fryer.. but cooking on the stove, has never been something that either of us usually enjoy. After talking with some friends, after showing them some of the crazy creations we can do in the air fryer, they suggested we start experimenting with using the stove AND the air fryer together. After explaining the issues we've always had with stove cooking (overabundance of heat, recipes never turning out right, due to uneven heating, and the fact that we have to use excess amounts of oils or fats, just to keep food from sticking constantly..), they took a look at our current (old) pots and pans.We had a mixture of cookware that we've pieced together over the years.. one teflon coated pan, that had uneven heating issues.. 2 cast iron pans, and a few non-coated aluminum ones.Every one of the cookware either originated from a friend, or a family member..Well, our friends were somewhat offended, on our behalf.. and then proceeded to explain everything wrong with our cookware. The short version of it, is that our cookware.. well.. was junk. *chuckling* Everything was a cheap dollar store or big box brand, and none of it was really quality. So, they suggested we take the time, to look around, and find something current. Not only would the color scheme match (both with our kitchen, and with the other pots and pans within the set), but something current would likely allow us to experience a new appreciation for our stove. So we took a few hours, and browsed Amazon with them watching over our shoulders, and after some careful consideration, and great amusement at the brand name, we chose this set. It's the right color, offers a bunch of options, and uses some modern technology, in the form of the ceramic coating. The set arrived last week.. and I started by making the most simple things I could think of, that constantly caused headaches with our old set.Omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, spaghetti, potato soup, and various vegetables. After using these pots and pans for a few days, now, I can honestly say.. I really had no idea what on earth we were missing... I'm actually enjoying cooking on the stove again.. something I've not enjoyed since I was a kid.The texture of Ceramic coating, is so weird.. I honestly struggle to explain it, or comprehend how it works, exactly. It feels textured/rough... almost like a fine grit sandpaper. Yet, it clearly has some form of oleophobic coating, too, which has this strange balance of gripping the food, but also allowing it to be moved around, when agitated or manipulated by the cook. The included wooden utensils dont' feel expensive, nor cheap.. but they were a nice touch too. On top of that, the additional cork pot rests, for when you don't want to scorch your counter or table, were a complete surprise.Of course.. there IS one slight quirk, that I was kind of at a loss for, until I read another reviewer's post, too.The strainer, that comes with the pasta pot, is a bit of an odd design. It's metal (aluminum, it appears) so it clearly transfers heat from anything in it.. but it doesn't come with any handles or any sort of holder for it. I assume they originally planned on having handles on it, since some of the marketing material clearly shows it, but to ship it without, is just somewhat confusing.Perhaps the manufacture could include some simple cloth pot holders to address it? I honestly don't know.We already had silicone grips and gloves, for use with our other appliances, so it's not that big of a deal to us, BUT, it's something buyers should be aware of, at least, going into it.That said, the good clearly outweighs this strange design decision, and doesn't affect our score. HOWEVER, I could see why it might impact someone else's.As we use this cookware set, I plan to update the review, with long term results. But for now, we're loving the pots and pans, AND I still love the name 'RockUrWok'.

Cheaply Made
I ordered this 13 Piece Cookware Set with Ceramic Nonstick Coating by RockUrWok because I needed a new set of cookware. I'll keep looking. The pots and pans in this set look and feel very cheap, and as soon as you handle them it becomes apparent that they are not of the highest quality. While the heat distribution seems fine, they are nowhere near as easy to clean as the Product Page claims, and I have made several meals in them already. Despite the label of "non-stick", I have had several dishes stick to them, much more strongly than I would expect. The Blue color is admittedly very pretty, but it's one of the features that makes this set look cheap. The handles seem sturdy enough and are solidly attached to the pans, but the overall look and feel of the whole set is, well not of the quality promised on the Product Page. The Price shown on the Product Page is a deep discount over the List Price. I would say that this set is worth the discount Price, but if I saw this set for sale in a store selling at the List Price, I would definitely pass it by. If I were on a budget and just starting out, I would definitely consider it. But seasoned cooks will find little here to excite them. All in all, I am not as impressed with this Cookware Set as I'd hoped to be. I'm afraid I can't recommend it very highly and my Rating is Three Stars.

A good set for a single person... or as a starter set...
The set looks nice. My previous experiences with ceramic coated pans are that it does not last for more than a year or so, so only time will tell. The size of the pans make them okay for one or two people... I use the fry pan (sautee pan) for small batches of fried chicken or pork chops, while the 5qt pan is only suitable for a small pot of chili or pasta. The skillets are good for eggs or processed products... but most things that I fry do not turn out well in such small pans. The smallest 2qt pan is only good for reheating. I do not think that any of the lids are suitable for oven use. As with most coated pans, these will last longer when handwashed and if you use wooden or nylon spatulas and spoons for stirring and serving. Please note that the pasta pot, strainer, and associated lid from the pricture are not included.I am rating these four stars in comparison to similar sets. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

Nice looking but some issues with non-stick.
For the price these are not a bad set of pans. It would be unfair to compare them to sets costing 2 to 5 times more. For the price I would say the design, build and color are very good. The only significant issue I have with them is the non-stick. First of all it is rough, about like 150 grit sand paper. Food and cleaning sponges do not slide across it easily. Several people in my family tried these pans and we all agreed that they look nice but that the non-stick coating was a turn off. The second thing is that it is not as "non-stick" as other pans with a different coatings. Some foods tend to stick to it a bit.If the manufacture can improve the non-stick coating this would easily get five stars for the set. As it is four stars maybe a bit generous.
