Telescoping 40 inch magnetic pickup tool
This telescoping magnetic pickup tool is a simple gadget that earned a permanent spot in my shed. It extends up to 40 inches so you can reach under mowers, behind appliances, or into tight engine bays without bending over, which is a lifesaver if you have a bad back. The magnet is surprisingly strong for its size and will grab nails, screws, and small metal bits that are easy to miss on the ground. The stated 50 lb capacity gives confidence for heavier items, though in practice I use it mostly for nails, washers, and bolts. The bright orange finish makes the tool easy to find in grass or under equipment. Overall it does exactly what it promises, saves your knees, and speeds cleanup after projects.

Works great.
Great tool! We burnt pieces of an old deck that left tons of nails. This was super for locating and picking them up.

Gets the job done
I’m generally pretty pleased. The handle is ergonomic and the magnet is sufficient to have pulled up many screws and nails from around the yard. Comparing it to another similar magnet I’ve used I don’t think the telescoping design is beneficial as it gives it a little flex and can loosen if twisted, and I’d love a version with a magnet about twice as powerful to give more peace of mind that a single pass or two found all scrap

Good tool for keeping the jobsite safe.
Works great for use outside where I can't sweep or vacuum. I cover the head with an old dust mask because getting the fine metal shavings from cutting steel siding off the head is a real pain. I can just pull the dust mask off over the garbage can and all the nasty little metal splinters fall off the mask. Picks up filings, nails and screws hidden in puddles and grass so I don't have to worry about the dogs' paws.

Much Weaker Than Advertised
I got this to pickup screws from the yard, and for that it works fine. However, to say this thing has a 50lb capacity is insane, it can’t pickup 20lbs let alone 50. It is a surprisingly weak magnet considering its size. However, for little items like finding screws and staples in your yard it will work.

Strong, Reliable Telescopic Magnet
I have no complaints about this telescopic magnet — it works exactly as expected. I bought it mainly to pick up BBs and various nails or screws, and it does the job well. The magnet is strong enough to grab small metal pieces quickly, making cleanup and retrieval much easier. It’s simple, effective, and a handy tool to keep around. TL;DR: Strong, reliable magnet that makes picking up BBs and screws quick and easy.

Small head means more work in larger areas, but this gets where larger units can't go.
I bought this after we had the roof replaced on our house, and boy am so glad I did. Even though the roofing crew were pretty diligent and got most of the nails, I was able to collect a small pile of additional ones they missed with their larger magnet on wheels. This got all the ones that ended up under a bush or in some crevice or corner that the bigger magnet missed. When your house is re-roofed the nails go everywhere, it is just part of the process, unfortunately. If you have kids or pets, or even just a car, don't just assume the roofers got them all, spend the small amount of money it takes to get this thing and the boring hour or two it takes to sweep around the perimeter of your house carefully. Stepping on a nail or letting it puncture a tire is no fun. So if you are a homeowner, this is the one you buy, because it goes everywhere, meaning you only need one tool to do the entire job. And once you are finished with it, it stores away easily and won't take up much room in your garage or shop. The head is small, meaning it will take you a while if you want to sweep a large area with it. The magnet seems strong enough to pull even nails that I couldn't see out of wood chips, so it is strong enough to do the job. If I had to sweep a large area regularly, I would still buy this, but also invest in one of the bigger sweepers, as it does take a very long time to carefully cover a large area with the small head of this tool. But for occasional/homeowner use or use in a smaller space, this is fine.

Magnet is not as strong as I'd hoped, you need to be no farther then about 1" or so in order to catch nails off the floor, I find. However the pros outweigh that one con. I do like the telescopic handle, it's sturdy, slides smooth and locks in place well, and it doesn't feel cheap. (Saw another review that said the handle grip doesn't line up with the magnet? They simply didn't turn it to line up when locking it in place, so that's not even an actual issue.) Diameter of the magnet is also good, not tiny but any bigger and it'd probably be too awkward anda bit heavy for regular use. All in all, I'd recommend it if your just looking to clean up after ripping apart pallets, like me.

Mon époux construit une terrasse en composite et chaque vis/crochet est important et dispendieux donc l’outil est indispensable pour ne pas se pencher à chaque fois qu’il es échappe. Il adore son outil léger, télescopique et robuste.
