Is there any hidden cost..monthly charges?

I have three Niimbot printers and I’ve never had to pay to use the app or even create a free account. And no, I don’t just have “caveman level” features. That’s a very disingenuous assessment. The only limitations I’ve encountered in my daily use are that there are a few “VIP” fonts (but lots of free ones to choose from) and that you need to create an account to save label designs but I’ve personally never needed to do that, even running a small business. All editing, alignment, and formatting tools are free and easy to use. Of all the other features — like adding barcodes, QR codes, lines, drawing elements, shapes, icons, frames, tables, serial numbers, pre-formatted drop-in date and time stamps — the only things requiring a “VIP” account are the ability to import Excel data, real-time time stamps, and image recognition. A small number of frames and icons are “VIP” only like some of the fonts, but again, it’s a small number of them out of hundreds. (Find frames under icons > wireframes.) In addition to Niimbot, I’ve had several thermal label printers from other brands and all of them have quirky apps with a learning curve, and some actually do lack usable features. Niimbot’s app is the best one I’ve used and is the main reason I’ve got three Niimbot printers now and rarely ever use anything else. I hope this added information and context help clear up any confusion.

can it be connected to an ipad pro ? like if i draw something on my pro can i print it out as a sticker with this?

Yes, you can. You can download the NIIMBOT APP on pad. Then test the print range, preferably by purchasing a large label paper.

How does this work without ink?

Dear Friend, This Inkless label maker have a print head inside the machine, and there is toner on the surface of the label paper. The print head and toner work together to print the edited content. Please rest assured to buy and use, this is a very mature technology.

How do the labels hold up on clothing especially after laundering numerous times? I have to label my moms clothing in a rest home.

haven't tried they might hold but i doubt it. its just a sticker if it gets mixed in with soap its going come off. for cloths going into the washing machine you prob should use a tagging gun with a plastic tag. or use some color strings and tie it to the top of the tag. or take some cloths pins and clip it on your moms clothes.

NOW it works with Windows Niimbot App via USB

This is a very cool and high-quality printer for labels. It is different from the latest cheaper square and "Cat Face" thermal printers (that are useful as well). The quality of this one - B21S - is better thanks to a different type of labels, made specifically for it with multiple layers that protect the print and make the label scratch-proof. It works with a Smartphone App (BT Connection) and finally with the Niimbot Windows App via USB. Initially, due to some bug, the printer was not connecting to the PC App, but thanks to some intense debugging with Tech support, the issue was solved and now all the B21S can work with a PC with a wired connection. If you are one of the owners that wasn't able to connect to a PC, try again :-) . Very good value for the money. Be careful about the labels you buy: Niimbot has specific ones and the generic ones do not print very well: the machine accepts them, but they are fainter.

Llevo un tiempo usando la Niimbot B21 y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido lo cómoda que es para etiquetar de forma rápida y sin complicaciones. Es compacta, ligera y la conexión con el móvil es casi inmediata, lo que hace que preparar etiquetas sea muy sencillo. 📦 Diseño y materiales La impresora se ve resistente y bien acabada. Es pequeña, fácil de transportar y el mecanismo de cierre es sólido. El tamaño es perfecto para usar en casa, oficina o incluso para llevar en la mochila si la necesitas fuera. 🖨️ Funcionamiento y calidad de impresión La calidad de impresión es muy buena para ser térmica. Las líneas salen nítidas. Los códigos QR y códigos de barras se leen perfectamente. No he tenido atascos ni cortes raros durante la impresión. El emparejamiento por Bluetooth funciona rápido y sin perder conexión. 📱 App y opciones de diseño La aplicación es intuitiva y permite personalizar bastante las etiquetas: bordes, tamaños, iconos, códigos QR, etc. Es perfecta para etiquetar cables, botes, cajas, archivadores o pequeñas herramientas. ❗ Aspectos negativos Lo que menos me ha gustado es que muchas fuentes, iconos y diseños dentro de la app son de pago. Vienen varias opciones gratuitas, pero si quieres una estética más variada o profesional te obliga a pasar por caja, y eso no se mencionaba claramente. También estaría bien que incluyera algún rollo de etiquetas extra, pero esto ya es secundario. 📌 Conclusión Es una impresora muy práctica y recomendable por su calidad, rapidez y facilidad de uso. Para etiquetar en casa u oficina funciona de maravilla. El único inconveniente real es que gran parte de las opciones de personalización avanzadas son de pago dentro de la app. Aun así, si no necesitas diseños muy sofisticados, la versión gratuita es suficiente para el día a día. Si que es verdad que si tuviera que volver a comprarla compraria una para hacer pegatinas mas grandes.

I've been using the device intermittently to print labels for my farm market business. I say intermittently because connecting to Bluetooth became hit-or-miss over the course of about six weeks of use. When I went through all the troubleshooting and still couldn't get it to connect consistently, I contacted the manufacturer/seller. They were responsive. However, the *fix* was to download additional unknown software that my phone warned me could be unsafe. I don't understand why a device with an app needs to have some separate upgrade that is not connected to the app. I'm past my return window, but I will not be downloading the software and I will be looking for a different printer.
