Wait and See Participant's Guide: A Six-session Study on Waiting Well

Theme is good, but some written information is Biblically inaccurate.
I like the points that Wendy Pope is trying to make, but there are definitely some theological stretches and inaccuracies in the participant guide. God most definitely does not work within our timing, but instead His perfect timing. While there are plenty of good points and examples that can come from the Biblical text, she seems to attempt to include things that aren't necessarily there to make some of her points. We studied David last night in our group, and the study guide mentioned that when David fled from Saul into the Philistine camp that he was in a bad head space fleeing from God, which scripture doesn't really support. He was merely fleeing for his life because Saul was trying to murder him. It also claimed that we have no record of David writing at all in the years he was fleeing, which is also not true. I'm not suggesting that you should buy or not buy this study. I just want to make sure that anyone who purchases it understands to be careful and always refer to the biblical text to verify anything that may not seem accurate.

This is a good study but in case you are looking at doing it in conjunction with Wendy Pope's book of the same name, they do not go together. The general subject matter, that of waiting on God, is obviously the same, but the specific content in the chapters and sessions do not match up (nor are there the same number of sessions as chapters). This study guide is meant to be used alongside the videos and the content is made to be completed during group sessions, as opposed to as homework. These sessions have good insight and are nice and short but I can't speak to the quality of the videos because we didn't purchase those.

Good lesson
The book was sent to me for a free download. It was what I needed . I'm currently in a waiting period in my life right now. This book has showed me how to go by waiting with God and not on God.
