How many pencils does it hold?

I don't know how many pencils it will hold. I have mine full of 100 gel and highlighter pens.

How many slots dose this thing have?

12 SLOTS. I am a watercolor artist. I wanted a rotating storage holder for my brushes. This unit can hold A LOT of brushes!!!! For my extra long handled brushes, I use the 4 center slots as the walls surrounding these slots are much higher than the other 8 slots. I LOVE THIS ORGANIZER!!!!!! One of my art students also purchased one and is delighted with it! This is a QUALITY made organizer- very sturdy, the finish is attractive and solid (no drips or runs) and there is more room than what I had initially thought when looking at the picture.
