This is a quality 12V - 2A power supply with a connector for wire leaded equipment. I was working on a home project that had only wire leads for hooking up power. I was near the point of exhaustion looking through thousands of look-alike power supplies on Amazon when I finally hit pay dirt. I was about to give up and buy a power supply and cut off the connector to expose the wire leads for the hookup, when I found this one. Instead of using some kludge to solve the problem, this power supply has a nifty jack to wire connection adapter. You plug in the power supply to 120VAC, plug the output jack into the adapter and connect your wires to the adapter. It takes a very small screwdriver to reach the screws. It also takes a good set of eyes to see the "+" and "-" identifiers on the adapter. They are very tiny and it might be advisable to use a voltmeter to double check the polarity if there is the least doubt. There is a down side that doesn't affect anything in particular: In general, I'm not familiar with all the power supply output jacks available, but the one on this supply LOOKS a little different from most that I've noticed. It might not be compatible with sockets you are already using, and I don't know how you'd ever find a match for it. All I can say is that it saved me a bunch of trouble and at a little over $7, it is a bargain for those who need to connect wires to a power supply rather than through connectors, this is a best buy. I give thanks that I managed to find it, and 5 stars for professionally solving my problem.

Wanted to pair this with a smart plug and motion sensor to turn on some strip lights but couldn't use it because of the power delay. It takes around 3 seconds between power being supplied to this unit for it to push power down line. Luckily I had another one with the same power rating that was supplying constant power to another LED strip so I don't care about the delay and I swapped them. Price is good, came with the adaptor I needed and saved money. If I didn't have the other one to swap with, I would have returned this one.

Excellent replacement for my TJOY LED lights.

When selecting a power supply, this is a smart choice. The smaller "brick" types, that plug directly into the wall usually cover up an open outlet from use. Having the plug on a cord allows way more flexibility in mounting and using this type. I bought this for its extra high power to run several LED lights totaling well under the rated available power out. The connector plug, made the whole process painless, more flexible and able to be unplugged if need be. Overall a correct decision to get this.

I use a lot of these in my projects. They are wall built and durable. I especially like the output adaptor that allows for positive and negative wire connections. If your looking for this type of power supply, I would highly recommend this one.

This outputs a usable 12V no problem. It’s nice to have an included barrel plug connector. The barrel plug is a 5.5mm*2.1mm plug.
