If you like avocados, you gotta get one!
I purchased this because I make keto meal replacement shakes, and the recipe only requires half of an avocado. Not to mention I eat a lot of avocado halves as sides, but I usually end up having to toss the uneaten half. Anyone who knows avocados knows the moment you cut an avocado, it seems like you've got minutes to get it eaten before it goes bad. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you avocado lovers know what I mean. The only thing I can think of that goes bad nearly as quickly as avocados are bananas, so at best I was hoping to maybe buy my avocado half about 24 hours in the refrigerator, and even then I still expected to have the taste already be a bit off. I must say, I've been pleasantly surprised that I peel this thing off the avocado half the next day, and it's still perfectly tasty. HOWEVER, the last time I used this thing was about five days ago, and I forgot that I had it in the refrigerator with half an avocado in it. Oh no! I just knew I was going to find a gross rotting avocado half that I'd have to throw out, so I decided document just how rottedit would be after five days. WOW! Just look at that picture. That's after being in my refrigerator for five solid days. Now, I will admit this wasn't a perfectly soft ripe avocado when I put it in there. It was most certainly ripe enough to eat sliced up, or just spooned right out of the skin, but just not soft enough that you'd be mashing it up for guacamole. Had it been guacamole soft, I doubt it would look quite this good, but no doubt it would have still lasted a couple of days in the fridge. But WOW! To get five whole days out of a half an avocado and it still be perfectly tasty... that's pretty amazing. Plus it's made of silicone, so it's very easy to clean, and dishwasher safe, if you happen swing that way. The ONLY downside to this little wonder is it can be a tad tricky to get seated properly on to an avocado half; especially if the avocado is fully ripe and soft. However, with a bit of practice it does gets easier once you get your technique down. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys avocados on the regular.

I have yet to see a perfect avocado preserver
Like most people, I often (i.e. always) eat half an avocado and save the second half for later. I used to use a piece of plastic wrap, carefully smashed around the seed and the flat part of the avocado, where it would instantly shift, loosen, or whatever, at the slightest bump. Most other methods I could think of would require removing the seed, which guarantees more brown area. As a person who tries to minimize my use of plastic, I hated that I couldn't find a better solution, so this intrigued me. It does work reasonably well, even when the avocado isn't a perfect fit (which is most of the time). There are so many sizes of avocados, it would be great if this came in three sizes, the very small Haas, the larger Haas or that new variety I've been getting lately that looks like a small Florida avocado, and the large Florida avocado. I'd say this is sized for somewhere between the mid-size and the large Florida avocado. When I say this works pretty well, I mean my avocado stays fresh as long as it did in the plastic wrap even though the seal is NOT airtight in any way. It sits on the surface of the cut part, which protects it from oxygen as long as you gently place it in the fridge resting on the silicone.

Wanted to love it.
If your using a half of a avocado, this product works well. BUT if you use more than half, with a quarter of the avocado left, the product does not work. It does not fit to cover. So I still have to use a piece of aluminum foil.

Do not work
Don’t waste your money !Every fruit and vegetable turns brown! They don’t seal anythingI was really hoping the avocado one would work but plastic wrap keeps it fresher!Very disappointing product!

Love it, no more wasting Gods precious fruit!
I’ve been guilty of wasting avocado because sometimes you can’t eat a whole… so this little product is amazing! I buy Costco avocados which the smaller size preserver seals, and fits on it perfectly . Can be a little tricky to get in there if you like yours ripe , but once it’s in just wipe off sides and good to go, no more wasting ! 😊🙏🏼

Not so great
I really wanted these to work, but they do not fit tight enough to keep the avocado from discoloring. Large one is too big for almost all the avocados I’ve tried. Small one more useful but sometimes a struggle to put it on and get a good seal. Hate to say it but plastic wrap works better.

Really cool!
Well, I wasn't so sure about this little thing, so I was very happy to see that it works quite well! The one photo with a bit of brown probably had more to do with the avocado being not as fresh as in the second photo. Most times, the seed part doesn't fit snugly into the holder and I was worried about the trapped air in there, so I set it on the bubble part in the fridge to help push the air out...works nicely! Someone said it was a bit hard to fit the avocado half into the holder and, yes, this is true, so I used the knife (carefully), slipping it into the holder, running it around the avocado until it's all enclosed, easy peasy. I like this because it saves me from having to put yet another piece of plastic wrap into the trash, you know, "saving the earth"!!
