MeeFar Folding Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier Basket and Bag Combo

Very happy with our purchase. Very sturdy and easy to install. We drove all terrains and weather without any issue. Powder coated finish and very well made. Worth the extra price we paid to the competition. The bag is very durable and spacious.

We purchased the MeeFar cargo basket and cargo bag combo and have been using it on a cross-country trip this past week. It attached easily to our Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. To fold it up past the spare tire required a hitch extension which was indicated in the product description. It has worked perfectly and we are extremely happy with the purchase. It is a well made and functional product that is priced very reasonably.

We purchase for our cross country trip from Oklahoma to Alaska. It was very easy to set up, instructions were very clear. Holds a ton of weight and the bag is big enough it fit our 3 suitcases, 4 duffle bags and some of my husbands military gear. Would absolutely get again if needed. Easy to mount to the car as well.

Bottom Line: A very practical cargo carrier set that does its job well. Mounting and removing the basket is straightforward, and the 16 cu. ft. bag keeps gear totally dry, even if repacking the bag back into its original container takes a little muscle. WHAT WORKS WELL: Easy Mounting & Removal: Quick and simple to put on the hitch receiver and take off when you don't need it. Reliable Waterproofing: The heavy-duty 16 cu. ft. bag keeps luggage, boxes, and gear protected from rain, road splash, and dust during highway drives. Spacious Basket: The 60" x 20" dimensions offer plenty of surface area, and the 6-inch side rails keep loads secure and easy to strap down. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: Tight Repacking: Folding the waterproof bag back down tight enough to fit into its original storage container is somewhat difficult once it has been unpacked and unfolded. REAL-WORLD USE CASE: I used this carrier and bag setup to transport extra luggage on a road trip. It installed smoothly on the hitch, held everything securely, and kept all our gear completely dry throughout the drive. THE VERDICT: I hold back 5-star ratings on principle because no product is entirely without flaw or friction, but this carrier setup delivers solid value. If you need quick extra storage for travel and don't mind spending an extra minute wrestling the bag back into its storage pouch after the trip, it’s a great buy.

This worked out so well on our recent road trip from the northeast to FL last month, over 2500 miles. Used it on our 2023 Ford Expedition and we were still able to open the liftgate with it. Noise and drag was minimal and the bag kept everything dry during 2 major rainstorms….one while driving and another while truck was parked. Seems to be very well made and I would recommend

We recently used the MeeFar hitch mount cargo basket for an 8-hour road trip and were very pleased with its performance. It’s exceptionally well-built and sturdy, which gave us peace of mind while carrying extra luggage on the back of our SUV. Assembly and installation were straightforward, though the basket is quite heavy. I managed to mount it by myself, but having an extra set of hands would have made aligning the hitch and pin easier. Once installed, it felt very secure. A key feature is the hitch stabilizer, which made a noticeable difference in reducing movement and maintaining balance during the drive. We also tested the folding function before disassembly — it worked smoothly, exactly as advertised. While the basket comes with two straps, I recommend using additional tie-downs or ratchet straps for extra security, especially on longer trips. I didn’t fully trust the included straps to keep everything in place for the entire drive. Overall, the design, ease of use, and durability lived up to expectations. We’re very happy with this purchase and look forward to using it on future vacations. Highly recommended!

Exceeded my expectations! I was on a 1000 mile journey cross-country and needed more room than my Jeep offered. I did not want to drag a trailer behind me. I researched my options and found this product. there were others that were similar at a higher price. However, I really liked what this cargo carrier offered with the water proof heavy duty bag and many straps and 500 lbs capacity. I had never used a product like this before but after seeing a youtube video of a guy using one attached to a Honda Odyssey, I figured that I'd give it a try. I put four totes back there and my bike! Just in case, I placed items that were of lesser needs in case something happened. I can tell you that I was super impressed. the Carrier, the straps, the performance was exceptional! It did not falter, and now I can use it on family trips! It is very compact to store because of the folding feature and it was a great purchase that I will continue using.
