Love it!!!!
It's the first time in my life that I've been involved in a dietary change. Honestly this book caters my attention because I heard all the comments about Adele's diet. So I choose to read and I'm very pleasant about it, now because a famous person did but because I'm eating more clean and organized than never before in my life, I was not conscious about the benefits of a balance diet until now. I think what is important about this diets is the fact that is not about to lose weight (witch is a good thing) but about to learn about food and their combinations.Talking about to follow the diet, the first 3 days were a nightmare, but all the proceeds about to do the groceries correctly, plan your meals ahead and prepare your meals was a great thing. Measurement are metric
Although the recipes look interesting, I didn't realize that I would have to convert each recipe. Due to a busy family and job, I do not have the time or energy to convert each one. I didn't realize it until recently and am disappointed that I was unable to return it. Waste of money.

An Absolute Must Have if You Want to Try this Diet
I really like this book and trust me, I've read a LOT of diet books. I like the hints for planning meals for the office, for eating out, eating as a couple, (which I think is a huge reason why a lot of people have trouble dieting), if you're single (beat that boredom eating), and if you're feeding a family. Bet a lot of would-be dieters can relate to that one. When I got to the weekly menu plan I thought, terrific, another teeny, tiny calendar that you need a magnifying glass to read. Surprise! It's all typed out in an easy-to-read format on the following pages and each choice has a link to the recipe. It doesn't get easier than that. I like that the meals are practical and won't break anybody's budget and I like the fact that substitutions are easy to make. Don't like kale? I HATE kale. Fine, choose from another SIRT food that you DO like -- easy peasy. I just got the book and I'm flipping through it as I go ... OMG tumeric roasted nuts? Fried olives? Chocolate shots? Seriously? That alone would have made me buy the book. The recipes are also organized into convenient chapters of Breakfast, Snacks, Quick Fixes, Salads, Soups and Broths, Speedy Suppers, Main Meals,Desserts, Cakes and Baking (oh, yeah, you can eat cake) such as blackcurrant and orange cake, and if you're in a hurry, there's a searchable index.*Note, several of the recipes are Asian/E. Indian inspired, so if you're not a fan of curries and spicy foods, beware.

The go-to book on Sirt foods with informative and clear recipies
This is a great little book choc full of brilliant simple recipies. It's so much better than The Sirt Food Diet by Goggins & Matten which is a very restrictive, repetitive and hard to stick to take on Sirt foods. The author explains the function of Sirt foods in the body and then goes out to lay out a very flexible and imaginative eating plan full of suggestions which are not only healthy eating 'for life' but tasty too. I'm so glad I found this book because I was put off even trying the Sirt food system by the other book - lots of boring juicing! Go for the Whitehart book instead, highly recommended and something that fits into real life.

Highly recommended common sense diet.
This is the best diet I have ever tried for many reasons. Firstly it is an inclusive diet, you are not required to cut anything out, it is balanced and the recipes include carbs, protein, meat, fish, veg and fruit, everything you would have been taught at school you need to eat for a healthy, balanced diet. Secondly it does not leave you hungry. Thirdly the recipes are delicious, the food was much better than the muck I was eating that was making me put on weight. Fourthly, all this healthy food makes me feel fantastic, providing energy instead of sapping it like many exclusion diets do. And finally and mostly importantly, it works - I lost 9lbs in the first week!As with most things there are a couple of negative points. The main one being that the cooking/shopping is quite time consuming and if like myself you are a busy working mum, you really require tip top organisation to keep on top of it. The second being that some of the perishable ingredients can only be bought in the supermarket in pre-weighed packets which does mean you can end up with a bit of waste at the end of the week. For that reason I quite often swapped recipes to avoid having to throw too much away but then the recipe planner is meant just as a guide so the flexibility of the diet allows you to do this so long as you substitute with a recipe that has the same amount of calories and sirt foods. Each recipe tells you exactly how many calories and sirt foods servings are in your meal so it makes it super easy for you to jiggle the planner about to suit you, your time constraints on a given day and the contents of your fridge!I would highly recommend this diet. Whether the sirt food side of things help with the weight loss is debatable as there seems to be little scientific evidence to support it but that aside, it definitely works and is a common sense healthy diet which doesn't leave you hungry, tired and fed up.

No good for singles
Very disappointed with this book. Recipes are all for 2 - 4 people. Plus cream and cheese? Seriously? I want a good plan for life, the Sirt diet is great, I love it. I'm not using this book though. I've found 2 other books on Amazon that are much better

Doesn't feel like a diet, diet book !
Great, very practical and informative book. No outlandish recipes, no outlandish ingredients. Meals most family members will enjoy. Easy to prepare with a variety of healthy sirt ingredients to help you lose weight if followed correctly. Menus for two weeks, so no excuses !
