The Littlest Library: A heartwarming, uplifting and romantic read
S**E
A heart warming tale of loss, love and the power of books.
This is Poppy Alexander's second book and the sort of book you don't want to put down or to end.Poppy tells Jess Metcalf's story which quickly captivates the reader as Jess's life is turned upside down with two major losses - the loss of her grandmother and of her safe and predictable job. As the story unfolds we see Jess integrate into a small rural community and see her character blossom and change. This is a well crafted tale, full of characters who seem familiar but who hide deeper truths, of village life and it's politics, rivalries and friendships and above all a story of belonging and finding a place that truly fits your soul.Underpinning the story is the character jess's great love of books -we are reminded throughout of the power of the written word and how a good book will comfort, influence and stay with us a whole life time.I would highly recommend this book and Poppy's first '25 days in December'.Thank you Poppy and I can't wait to read '12 days of Christmas' pre-ordered and due out in November.

Boring
A slow read. Not much of a plot. Best part of the book is the cover illustration.
