For the young or curious or both this is an excellent book that I bought for my nephew for Christmas. It is straightforward enough to sate his immediate curiosity and detailed enough to feed his hunger for more - well into his teens. A very nice book - with the sole exception of the choice of typeface for the cover. But never judge a book by its cover, or so I'm told.

I purchased this book to help myself understand chemistry a little better, found this book very good, it explained everything in a language a layman could understand. Would highly recommend this.

Concepts are well explained. However, the number of errors in the text lets this book down and can easily confuse.
