My 2003 Mercedes W211 pulled my car battery empty every 2 days. Some ghost in it I couldn't find. Installing this battery disconnecter saves me from unplugging the battery poles every time. Ignore the relay markings for connecting with the battery. The wire goes to the positive pole and the metal clamp goes to the negative side. Remote works close to the car fine.

I was impressed with the quality of this relay. The battery posts are solid, the range of the remotes are good, and the functionality is reliable. I put it in my RV to power my inverter on and off since they have a parasitic discharge while connected. The switch handles 1800 watts as my microwave is running without any issues so I would call it good. Make sure you use an appropriate gauge wire, or they get hot.

Connected using the negative terminal (there are two ways to connect - +ve or -ve). the unit takes power directly from the car battery to operate the remote commands.When the remote was pressed it flashed a red led - showing remote is working. But unit connected to the batter did not enable the batter connection. So the car never got the power.Tried again with the positive terminal. That too did not work. The unit I got might be faulty. But Generally speaking, this is a very flimsy piece of plastic, even if it had worked, would not have held up beyond 6 months for all the vibrations under the hood.Will end up returning and will look for something else.

Ok so car had a power drain this did the trick! I guess my computer is slowly killing my battery so I put this thing in. It took a hand drill to make the thing fit my battery terminal but it was worth it. Also it’s anti theft!!

The included trifold install manual was USELESS. If the remotes do not work you will need to pair them by removing the plastic cover to gain access to the receiver board. The pairing must be done with the device connected to the battery so be VERY carefull not to touch anything on the receiver board other than the tiny button.My remotes did not work out of the box so had to unpair/reset then reprogram both remotes.*Each remote can be programed independently depending on your needs.RESET*quickly press receiver button 8x (flashes and shuts off)

The media could not be loaded.  I am rating a 3 at moment. I purchased because the KIA Sol is on top of list for theft where I live. Easy to install. Right price. Love the remote. However when I set the kill switch to off it resets my radio clock to12:00 AM and resets my trip to monitor gas mileage and miles traveled to zero. There must be a work around or explanation. But cannot find a number with this product to call for help. Hopefully someone responds to this review and if all works out will re-review.

Installed for a elderly family member who doesn’t drive her car enough to keep the battery up works great she doesn’t have to jump it anymore after it sitting.

It’s an amazing product works great and looks factory on my 94 f150. The instructions it came with weren’t very helpful but if you know anything about electrical issues/work it’ll be a breeze. Would recommend

I have a draw in my electric system and it seems no one has made a book for wiring diagrams for my dodge journey so as a temp fix I installed this unit. I have had it in for a bit and have not hat to boost it since. Both remotes work fine although I did upgrade the key rings as they were a little light duty. And I wish the instructions were a little larger in print .had to have my wife read them for me .
