SafetyCare Rubber Shoe & Boot Tray - Multi-Purpose - 24 x 16 Inches - 1 Mat

We were hesitant at first to purchase these due to the issues other customers had with quality and the odor the mats were said to emit. As far as durability is concerned, so far they are holding up just fine. No issues with tearing, etc. and they are easy to clean. Re: the odor. Yes, as soon as you open them (and they are "heavy" duty for sure. Nothing flimsy or cheap about these) the smell is pretty bad. We simply put them outside for two days, turning them over after the first day to be sure that no smells were trapped underneath, and the smell went away completely. There was no scrubbing or cleaning necessary. This is a great product, so good in fact that we ordered two more to have one at each door plus another dedicated to hunting/outdoor fun boots and shoes and another for the cats food and water bowls. Great product, especially for the price...they are not expensive at all compared to the cheaper, more brittle alternatives. I don't see these mats breaking apart like the ones we have had to purchase in the past.....if I could I would give these a ten star rating....well worth it.

Our old shoe tray was falling apart recently, and I decided to go with this set. I insist on rubber for shoe trays - the single plastic tray I've had in the past broke and fell apart within months. With the weather and accompanying rain or snow or slush we get here in Minnesota, I need shoe trays that will hold up well and are easy to shake off and wipe clean. I need functional trays that actually hold shoes and capture all the water and melting snow that tends to get tracked indoors. These trays fit the bill perfectly, fitting large size shoes and boots with ease. They did have a pretty strong rubber smell when they first arrived, which I knew to expect from past trays I've purchased, and within a couple days the smell was gone. If you are sensitive to that, you may want to air these outside or in your garage for a couple days before bringing them inside.

I really like this Rubber Shoe & Boot Tray. The space I needed it for required I buy the 24' x 16" size (which was hard to find - most of them are longer and/or wider) and it fits perfectly. I really only needed one, but having a back up or just another one for another purpose (maybe my lanai or garage entry) is good too. It is indeed made of a flexible rubber and appears to be very durable and will last a very long time. (Mine is in an inside, covered foyer so not exposed to the elements, so it will last me a life-time). However, it does claim to be weather-resistant and it appears it would be. A visually appealing and neat way to curtail tracking in stuff you don't want on your floors/carpets, whether it be dirt, germs, rain/snow. For wet application, the design will allow water to drip off the shoes/boots and allow air circulation to dry. There was the scent of rubber, but it's a rubber product, so of course I expected that! The scent will dissipate quickly since it's outdoors. It will be easy to clean as well, since you can hose it off if needed. I wasn't looking to spend $33 and would have preferred to spend less, but since I was limited due to the size I needed and considering there are 2 in a pack, breaking it down, $16.00 for a matt of this quality really isn't bad at all. These came packaged in a clear, plastic covering and was laid flat, not folded so there were no creases and it laid flat right out of the packaging.

Very sturdy, perfect size and thickness. Subtracted one star due to the very strong rubber odor. I left them outside hanging on my patio for a full day to no avail. Will try washing them in baking soda to see if that helps. These will last a lifetime.

This is a great product. I put it in my front hall closet. It protects my hardwood floor from dirt and water dripping from dirty boots and shoes. Room for 3 pair. I love that it's rubber and not plastic. It should hold up forever. Totally easy to keep clean. Just pick up bring outside and shake the dirt out. Can easily be hosed down outside or in your shower.

These mats were purchased as bed liners for steel mesh garden carts. The carts are for mobile classroom gardens, and we need something to catch drips when the carts are moved indoors at night. The mats are thick, sturdy, and flexible. They will do the job, even if the sides of the carts are lowered. Very pleased with the quality. They need to air out due to strong rubber odor.

It fits three pairs nicely, no crowding. I like that it is soft rubber that won't damage my floor. We'll see how long this one holds up. My previous one - different brand - seemed very much the same but the edges fell apart after a while.

Great quality not too heavy and flexible. Just what I was looking for. As expected for rubber materials it has a slightly rubbery oder that goes away after a couple of hours. Very functional not just for shoes. You won’t regret this purchase. I love it. I love the ridges in the tray, it helps to separate the water from your shoes without it sitting in water after it rains or snow. It allows it to dry so I can safely put my shoes away after without running my shoe stand and other shoes with water.

Good quality, as expected

These are perfect for what I need. Got 6 and have them around the house and in the boot of the cars. Good quality and have some weight to them. Nice that they have the lip around it. They came wrapped in plastic with tags

Very sturdy tray, heavy rubber so will not slip and heavy enough to stop my 12 week old puppy from pulling it round the floor. Functional but looks good too. Very pleased. Recommended.
