It keeps the water out!
This mask makes it possible for me to dive and keep the water out of my ears. I have used it on 22 dives so far from 30 feet to 120 and it only failed once and it was my fault as I back rolled into the water and the seal broke! Other than that I have had no problems with water in my ear or with the mask staying on-however; I know hold the cup over my right ear tight to my head so it does not come off when jumping into the water. It really does make a big difference in being able to dive with no water issues.

If you have perforated ear drums or sensitive ears, READ!
This will be length but worthwhile to read for anyone contemplating! Over the past year I have battled late stage 3 breast cancer treatments and surgeries. Pressing on and trying to still live a life I love, some of my biggest happiness comes from the water! Namely snorkeling and underwater photography. Because of the chemo, I wound up with perforated eardrums. Who even knew that was a possible side effect?! It was discovered through trying to surf this summer twice and both times that I went in the water I immediately screamed from ear pain. Cue two rounds of ear infection meds. Ugh. Eventually went to ENT where I was diagnosed. (If you sense air coming out of your ear when you try to pop your ear THATS a perforation!) Hopefully over time this will heal but I was given strict orders to stay out of the water... Well I’m no quitter lol and booked a trip to Puerto Rico. Now-I will say that clearly from the photo attached I was able to snorkel. But I was extremely prepared-wore not just these but also earplugs! Good ones. Don’t skimp-get good ones! And brought prescription ear drops with me GODFORBID water got in I didn’t want a problem down there and then panic needing to see a doc in PR. Water DOES get into the ear part BUT if you double up with the plugs too and don’t be stupid, you should be okay! I did make a point not to dive down for photos...just bought a longer extension pole for my GoPro. The bridge of my nose hurt like hell afterwards. Idk if it was because the mask is so heavy that it was pulling on my nose or what but needless to say even though I may have looked like a geek-I was able to do it bc of these and that made it worthwhile! For surfing next summer I’m going to be proactive and get earplugs custom made for my ears by ENT. But for anyone with ear probs these are worth a shot! I do also suggest trying them in a pool first before throwing caution to the wind and jumping in the ocean. Good luck! 👍 ❤️

IST Pro Ear 2000
I bought this mask because i realized i cannot compensate my ears in a satisfactory manner anymore. Without this mask, i cannot dive. Yes, it's sad. You have to be very patience before entering the water, because the strap must be fitted very well in the back of your head, meaning that the ears are clearly sealed from the water. I had to cut my hair and also my beard to help sealing the ears. There is some tendency to condensate air in the glass, even after flushing it with water or other chemical products. Remember: When jumping into the water, FORGET holding the regulator in your mouth: HOLD EACH EAR'S CUP WITH YOUR HANDS. This works for me. It is a nice and revolutionary product, i expect some upgrading in desing and ergonomics. Nice price also. Strongly recommend.

I can dive again!
Perforated an eardrum and there is a tiny opening so I get ear infections when I am in the water. Went diving for a week and it took 3 months to get rid of the resulting painful infection - 3 rounds of increasingly strong antibiotics, the last with prednisone. Wax or silicone works fine in the pool, but I thought I would have to give up diving to depth. And then I found this marvelous mask! So far it works superbly! I have to make sure to have a tight seal around my damaged ear (a bit of a challenge with long hair but keeping it braided in the back is working thus far) and one cannot easily remove the mask and replace it at depth, but I seldom had to do that anyway. It took me a bit to figure out the headband, but this mask is overall quite awesome!

WHAT? Can’t hear. My ears are full of water!
This mask was a dismal failure.! All it did was create a cup of water tightly held against my ears. I wish I could somehow separate the stupid ear cups from the mask. At least that way I would have a mask I could use. $132.00 down the drain!

Worked great for me!
I went to Mexico on my honeymoon last week and before going, I purchased this mask. For as long as I can remember, I have had issues with water getting into my right ear and not being able to get it out. I thought it was because of a small perforation in my eardrum, but I was told a few years ago that is not the case. But water goes in my ear and doesn't come out and I end up getting an ear infection and have problems with hearing until the water can be removed. But I also love diving when I get the chance, so I didn't want to be deterred. So, I purchased this mask and as a backup, I also bought a set of vented earplugs. While I was on my trip, we went diving as planned and I used this mask. It fit very well and it kept my ears dry when I was down 45 ft in the ocean. I never had to clear water from the earcups. The only issue I had was with water getting into my mask proper but that was due the fact that I have a beard. With some carmex applies to the mustache, the problem was resolved. I look forward to diving again soon, getting certified and keeping my ears dry when I do it!

They Work
IF you want to scuba dive and think you can't because of ear problems this is the definite answer. I've broken my eardrum15+ times and with these I can dive again. One looks like Mikey Mouse, but who cares if the sport one loves can be done again.
