The basics work. I have an ONN 4K Pro Streaming Device, Google TV box and wanted a second remote. On my box the Google button brings up a search bar, voice search does not work. The bottom app buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Disney don't work, which is not a bad thing, I was always accidentally hitting those. Does not have a backlight. And to get into the settings menu you just have the hold the center select button for a few seconds. The settings gear button does not work. It meets enough of my requirements that I'm not going to return it. Here's a picture against my original remote.

Comes with shortcut buttons and MECOOL labeling

Worked for me in replacing my malfunctioning remote. Yes I know I could have bought another one from Walmart with the stick for about 20 bucks but all I needed was the remote.

Works is a perfect replacement for the Chromecast With Google TV remote and all I had to do was put the batteries in it went right into pairing mode. All you have to do is go to the accessory settings on the Chromecast. All of the buttons work for me except for the input button. And that's only an issue because TCL Roku TVs have a proprietary input button for some stupid reason. That was also an issue for my original Chromecast remote.

If you want to buy this thinking this is a replacement for a standard remote on an android tv, please read. I have a Sony X90J which is an android Google tv. Most of the buttons work with the exception of settings & input as well as the quick app buttons. None of them work. Also one of the biggest annoyances was that the remote in the picture does not show the quick app buttons nor the mecool logo but that’s what comes in the package. The package is just a plastic wrapper for the remote and nothing else. No instructions for anything. Lastly it doesn’t even state how to put it in pairing mode. I figured it out after scouring the internet. It’s Back button + Home button This isn’t the replacement I was hoping for and maybe if it had remappable buttons with app support it would be a game changer! I went with this because I hate controllers with useless buttons like my stock Sony remote but unfortunately this is lacking features that would make this the end all remote.
