Been buying this for years, first time leaving a review. It's one of those dog first aid items that I can't do without. If you ever want to trim your dog's nails at home, you need to have this. I've never tried another brand, but I never felt the need to try another one because this one is so reliable. It quickly stops the bleeding if you accidentally cut the quick on your dog's nails. I used to be stingy using this powder (trying to use as little as possible to make it last), but not anymore. Nowadays I just dump what feels like a good amount into a rag and press it against my dog's bleeding nail. Stops the bleeding almost immediately.(But if you are being careful/mindful of the amount you are using, here is what I used to do: pour a tiny mound onto a paper bowl or plate, then dip your dog's bleeding nail into that. You'll throw away only whatever amount you poured onto the plate.)

I wish I purchased this sooner. My puppy has a few black nails which is really hard to cut and accidentally cut too close and caused one of my puppy’s nail to bleed and bleed and bleed some more. I googled how to stop the bleeding and most suggested corn starch which I had on hand but it did not work. I purchased this right after and once again cut to close to one of the black nails but luckily I had this and it stopped the bleeding instantly. I was so amazed how quickly it worked. I will always have this on hand but hopefully won’t need it.

Our dog had to have surgery and we needed to learn to cut his nails. This was a learning process and this product helped when we accidentally cit his nail too short. Stoped the bleeding right away.

Bought this tub last year. Last week, I accidentally nicked my dog while trimming off matted fur. The powder was badly clumped, but I managed to get out enough for a polstace on the bleeding wound. It quickly stopped the bleeding. In due course, I covered the wound and polstace with a wice bandage, and then wrapped the leg with a medical-type stretch band. When I wasn't looking, the dog removed the stretchband, and then disappeared both the postace. I assume it ate the polstace. Fortunately, no damage was done and the wound healed nicely. Did its job, but nothing special about it.

I am so happy. That I got this. First time cutting nails. One nail had gotten a hit. Just a dot. But I was ready. (My dog still loves me.) One two three it was fixed. I was heartbroken, but just over the moon. Just to have this. Thank God!

I freaked out when I clipped my dogs nail too short and she was bleeding non stop. This happened about 9 pm.I tried baking soda and it helped but eventually she kept bleeding. About 3 hours later, of applying pressure and reapplying baking soda I brought this product, it was overnighted.I applied it to my puppy in the morning and immediately it looked like nothing had happened.Saved me a trip to the vet!
