The best filter bottle you can buy
Wonderful product. I took mine out of the country and used it for safe clean drinking water. It never once let me down. It never leaked or caused any spills. Easy to wash and clean. Filters are cheap and last a long time. Filters out pfas and chlorine taste as well as viruses and bacteria. The life straw bottle couldn’t do all of these things. The water flow is easy to push once you do it a couple of times. I really recommend using this during traveling. Especially if the water source is sketchy. 5/5 solid stars

Perfect for Long-Term Travel – No More Bottled Water!
I travel all over the world for months at a time, and I finally got tired of constantly buying bottled water—both for the expense and the environmental impact. That’s why I picked up the GRAYL UltraPress, and it’s honestly one of the best travel gear decisions I’ve made. It’s incredibly easy to use—fill, press, and drink. I’ve used it with tap water in multiple countries and even with questionable sources while hiking. Every time, the water comes out clean, tastes great, and I never have to worry about getting sick. Knowing it removes viruses, bacteria, protozoa, and even heavy metals gives me serious peace of mind on the road. It’s sturdy, compact enough to fit in my backpack side pocket, and doesn’t leak. Plus, the filter lasts for a long time (300+ uses), so it’s saving me money and reducing plastic waste. Highly recommend it for fellow travelers, hikers, or anyone who wants safe drinking water anywhere.

Great quality. Easy to use
Very awesome one not just for traveling but also in a daily base use if you don’t want to pay for less clean bottled water. Works a little hard at the beginning then it goes well a specially if you remove silicone part from the bottom ;). Better than Grayl GeoPress- the bigger one- impossible to filter by the woman because it’s so hard to push it down. This one is nice weight and easy to use.

Great to have clean water, need to push hard to filter.
I'd give it 4 1/2 stars, taking points off for 2 things: it is hard to push down to filter the water, but as a female, with perseverance, got it to work each time, getting it to go down a little at a time with effort. Also, the instruction booklet has very small type, and so not realizing I shouldn't, I left it damp in the bottle for almost 3 weeks as I used it on a trip almost daily. But, instructions say use it once and let the filter dry 2 - 4 days. Some people suggest getting an extra filter so can have one drying and one in use. Also, help the filter to dry faster by pressing it down a couple times without water after rinsing the filter in plain cool water and only wash the body of the bottle with soap. All that said, it was great to have clean water as we traveled in a country with known issues in their well water and was worth the effort. The smaller size fit the side of my backpack, it's well made, seems a little heavy, but well worth it to have clean water while traveling. Didn't have to buy so much bottled water so will pay for itself. P,S, TSA took time to open it and inspect it. No issues, though.

Very effective and safe drinking water.
Must have when travelling abroad using unknow water sources. A++++ Great for civil emergency use too :) Don't forget to stock up on the replacement filters.

Not quite perfect… but close enough!
Original review: I really want to love this water bottle, but I just can’t. To be fair, my use-case is slightly different than what it’s advertised for. The tap water where I live is gross and chemically, so I only drink filtered water. I have a “zero water” filter at home that I love, but I got tired of carrying around a giant jug of water every day. Then I saw this and figured that the ability to filter water anywhere was worth the price premium. The pros: it does filter water. Pretty easily too. It doesn’t taste as good as the water from my filter at home, but it’s probably 90% as good and that’s fine with me. It’s also constructed nicely and feels solid and rugged in the hand. Swapping filters is also easy, and the one way valve that allows me to add sports drink powder without damaging the filter is a pretty smart feature. The cons: this might seem nitpicky to most, but it bothers me that the cap for the drinking spout doesn’t have anything attaching it to the lid. So if you were using this outdoors (which is the use it’s advertised for) and you accidentally drop the cap and lose it, then you completely lose the ability to seal it. You also can’t open and drink from the bottle with one hand because there’s nothing holding the cap on. This seems like such an unnecessary problem for a premium bottle like this. Also it leaks... Kinda. You HAVE to keep it right side up at all times, because if you lay it on its side then it leaks water. Which means you can’t just toss it in your bag or on the car seat without getting everything wet. Basically when you put water in the outer cup and then press the inner cup down to filter it, there’s still some water left over in the outer cup. I’m not sure if this was done intentionally so that the filter doesn’t get crushed/cracked by pushing too hard, or if it’s a limitation of the filter itself, but there’s always about 1-2 ounces of dirty water left in the outer cup. There’s a small seal around the top of the inner cup to prevent that water from seeping out when the bottle is on its side, but it’s not effective. So whenever I filter water, I then immediately remove the inner cup and dump out the excess dirty water and put the inner cup back in, which solves that problem. But I have to completely remove the drinking cap to allow the pressure to equalize, again increasing the risk of losing the cap. So overall, I’m probably still going to use this bottle all the time to have access to clean water. Because I’d rather deal with these minor inconveniences than have to carry around a large jug all the time. But if I ever lose the cap I’m going to be furious. Because having to spend another $90 on a new bottle because a $1 piece fell off is going to be a tough pill to swallow. Also it’s really tall, so I can’t put it in the cup holders in my car because then it blocks the shifter (it’s a manual transmission). I’m not dinging this product for that though because that’s a specifically “me” problem. Just something to note. Edit: my original review was after about 4-5 days of use. It’s been another week or so since then and the leaking issue has gone away. I’m not sure if it just needed to break in or if I was doing it wrong at first, but it’s all good now. I still wish that the drinking cap was attached to the bottle, but I don’t think it bothers me enough to knock off a star. Maybe it’s like a 4.5 now, but I’ll round up. Also the taste has improved over the last couple weeks, and I can now have tasty clean water everywhere!

Feel safe with this, never worry about my water - expensive but peace of mind well worth it. Saves having to carry loads of water in, I also take a platypus bladder to store extra water direct from the water source to filter when I get to camp through the grayl. Brilliant,

Debería de haber uno en cada hogar.Filtra perfectamente. Lo regalamos a unos amigos que viajaban a Sumatra y fue un acierto, cogían el agua del río y la filtraban para beber.

Bought for multi peak hikes in the Mourne Mountains where we have plenty of fresh water sources to top up. Lightens the load when out on summer day hikes and gives us that peace of mind that we won't run out of water or get sick from drinking fresh mountain water. Love the colours choices. Bought one for my husband and one for myself.

Se purifica muy rápido sin tanto esfuerzo, me gusta que el filtro es intercambiable y la botella ligera para no sumar más peso en los viajes de larga caminata

The bottle arrived without a lid, rendering it useless. Had to return it. I subsequently bought one from a retail store and found it to do everything I'd hoped. Would have rated it 5+ stars if it had have been shipped with lid/cap.
