Exo TerraExo Terra Monsoon Water Filter

after having the monsoon mister for just over a year, the water flow just about stopped. I had no idea why, I was checking everything. I replaced nozzles & tubing to no avail. This filter was the last thing to check before I had a meltdown and chucked the entire mister. Unfortunately they cannot be found in any local stores near me. Hello Amazon! at a reasonable price to try something without knowing if it would work, I ordered one. HALLELUIAH! IT WORKS!!!! Replacing this filter brought the mister up to 95% functioning (I'm assuming that the bit of power that was lost is from the motor over working for the month it took to figure out what was wrong.) I will definitely be ordering another one (or two) to keep on hand.

It’s better to replace filter vs the entire unit

I just received this today, and when I opened the package it was not the same as the picture. It looks like an air stone. I built a new terrarium for my day gecko and have the Exo terra Monsoon system,I read a review were it was advise to have one of these so that why I bought it so really not happy....

So confused I have monsoon solo and the filter on the left is my original and the filter on the right is what I received. It doesnt fit into the tubing at all super loose and small.

The pre filter that comes with the monsoon system is a nice brass one. I ordered this for when the pre filter needs cleaned I can swap them out and clean it whenever I get extra time. But you won't be able to take this cheap plastic thing off and on more than once or twice. The only time this might be useful is when you don't have the orginal one at all

Basically, the filter itself and the part to fit into the filter tube were a fair bit smaller than what came with the original product.I had to make a small adjustment to make it fit but it seems ok now.Delivery etc. All same, quick quality as always with Amazon though.
