Q: Will the pcb be damaged if it comes within the field produced by the coil? I want to place the coil in a pad and put the connection underneath.

Q: what wires can i use to extend the red and black to make it longer?

Depends on your application- for me I have used alligator clips to a 5v DC power supply. But I don’t see why you couldn’t solder on some insulated copper wire
