I would guard these with my LIFE if my classmates tried to take any from me
Can you picture Gollum wearing scrubs holding a box of these scalpel blades instead of the ring? Yeah, that was basically me after the first cut I made with one of my precious blades.I'm a medical student and I bought these for anatomy lab because the ones they provide us with are flimsy and dull. These were so sharp that I accidentally cut halfway through some of the forearm extensors just by making the initial cuts to remove the skin! They don't dull quickly and I've never had one break (unlike a blade the lab provided that broke off in the middle of the deltoid that my group still hasn't been able to find). I've been so happy with them that I've been hiding them in my locker and not telling anyone that I have them because I don't want to share. Please bury these with me when I die.

Best type of blade for model building
#15 scalpel blades are my favorite blades for hobby knife use. Better for small carving, shaving, and scraping than the ubiquitous #11 X-Acto blades. More expensive too, but a box of 100 will last me a lifetime, so who cares. For hobby use, I recommend handles with this style of blade chuck:https://www.amazon.com/NT-Cutter-Resin-Holder-D-400P/dp/B001MTI3QQ/ref=pd_sbs_229_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001MTI3QQ&pd_rd_r=CNN4XPFVEB7HA7JBDZ14&pd_rd_w=uuHdV&pd_rd_wg=KaHZW&psc=1&refRID=CNN4XPFVEB7HA7JBDZ14&dpID=31sVv0zJe3L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=detailYou will have to snap off the very bottom of the tang with pliers to make it fit, but this type of chuck holds the blade more securely than an X-Acto style chuck (scalpel blades have narrow tangs and can rotate forward/back with enough pressure in an X-Acto style chuck), and is more stable under side-loads than actual scalpel handles.

Another quality product Made in Japan. Individually sealed and sterile until opened. Use in # 3 scalpel handle.
Made in Japan not china. Best quality and sterile until opened. Designed to fit a number 3 scalpel handle. Stick to brand names like "Feather".. I also have a "Feather Nape Razor and Feather blades for it. Both made in Japan. This is # 10 blade but #11 blade is also a good choice. Depends on what you intend to use it for.

These are NOT feather blades!
These are NOT feather blades! They are cheap I assume Chinese blades. If you go to vetmed's web site they sell them for $7.55 for a pack of 100. Their web site does not even mention or show Feather blades as being available. This add is nothing more than a scam to sell you cheap blades as good industry standard Feathers. I would be very leary of ordering anything from this company.

Perfect blades
I am using this type of blades for some precision cutting. Before I used ones from BD. Tried these one and they are so much better than BD. Perfect finish, very sharp and durable.

Professional quality
Use these for derma-planing. Very sharp so I am especially careful with the pointy tip.
