Best kitchen investment
I love this kit. I have always wanted an immersion blender and never gotten around to purchasing one until I started making my son’s baby purées. I didn’t want a unitasker like a baby steamer/blender kit and my food processor was so clunky and inconsistent that it slowed me down. I researched on Williams and Sonoma where I came across the demo video for this product. I was a bit leary on dropping this much money when others where $30-50, but the reviews and features convinced me to make the leap. I’m so glad I did. Everything about this system makes it easy, fast, and reliable. carrycase keeps everything stored. The blades swap out quickly for new batches and wash up quickly too. Makes for fast, mess free smoothies in the morning too because I don’t have to lug out and clean up a blender or processor. The battery lasts a long time and the charger is stylish and sleek enough to stay on the counter ready for use. The blade options are more than sufficient and powerful enough to power through everything but delicate enough that you can ensure the optimal consistency. That included pitcher, whisk, and blender are value added add ons that allowed me to also dump my food processor and hand mixer, saving me more space.

Nice product - still think it is overpriced but worth having.
Been using this for three days now and am impressed. Chopper jar is wonderful. The Cuisinart mini chopper has sat on my counter for years, but the jar of this one is a little heavier and the top fits better. The way the blades fit makes it much more usable, easier to empty, and easier to clean. Power is perfect and the variable speeds of the motor makes it much more versatile. A real winner! While not a fan of plastic, didn't expect to use the blender jar, but found that with the handle and measurement markings as well as the splatter ring, it is very functional. Now to the main event - found it to be quite powerful with battery lasting a sufficient amount of time for several uses. Do not care for the case. Putting everything in a drawer makes it much more accessible. Bonus time - I have an old two speed KitchenAid corded hand held blender, model 1231. Was planning on donating but checked to see if it fit the new attachments. While not an exact match at the top of the collar, the connecting part fits perfectly. Will make a great backup in case the battery needs recharging.

Update: promises but does not deliver
Dec 2019 Update: Kitchen Aid pro line hand blender The Kitchen Aid brand just isn’t what it use to be This the the second Kitchen Aid product I purchased since getting the mixer for my new kitchen and the third time I am disappointed. The mixer is admittedly mostly a bit of nostalgia. The second Kitchen Aid appliance I purchased was a sparkling beverage maker that was too big. I immediately decided to return it. It was a costly disaster to return. I had to involve Amazon for assistance and eventually got a partial refund after paying heavy shipping fees to return it. Even after that experience with Kitchen Aid I purchased the hand blender in July 2019. It doesn’t work. I was encouraged and even excited by the promise: About this item * 12V rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers optimal runtime, performance and durability. Consistent power to the end of battery life. * 5 attachments O easily blend smoothies, chop graham crackers, froth cappuccinos, chop vegetables or whisk egg whites. * Industry's first interchangeable bell blade Assemblies to O quickly and easily crush ice, puree Soup, froth milk and so much more. Simply twist off and on to switch from one bell blade assembly to another; no tools required. * Included whisk attachment whips creams and egg whites to fluffy peaks * Removable 8" & 13" Blending arms lock into the motor body for easy operation, to blend in any deeper pot, bowl or pitcher. It also comes in a hard plastic box that keeps the parts contained in an organized manner which is good as long as the case holds up. My concern was that I would probably need an additional battery and there wasn’t an option to purchase a second battery/charger. Once it arrived I was surprised by how large the appliance is (longer that my elbow to finger tip with the shortest arm. I am average high 5’ 4”) I tested it by preparing scrambled eggs. Eggs were fluffy and I was encouraged to overcome the issues with the size and not having an extra battery/charger. Turns out neither issue was a problem as I never got the thing to work a second time. I didn’t get the opportunity to test the battery life but the appliance definitely would not crush ice. It isn’t a strong emulsion device but will handle eggs and stirring when it works. $216.49 is a very costly test of another kitchen aid appliance and I am sad it was such a disappointment. Based on my previous experience with Kitchen Aid the likelihood of a resolution is non existent however I will update this review if those expectations turns out to be wrong. In the meantime from one gadget guru to you save yourself the frustration. Keep your money. This one promises well but does not deliver

Happy with choice
As advertised, quality kitchen tool. Solidly made and powerful. Case makes it easy to store and organize the options. Purchased to aid in providing a mechanical chop to pureed diet for elderly parent who has developed swallow issues. Works for this purpose with smaller amounts of food much easier and with quicker clean up than my full size blenders or food processor. Finding many additional uses. Had it for about a month and still getting used to it. Works great for most things. Only downside has been the lock and speed adjust controls seem a bit awkward to adjust when gripping it during use. Also seems slightly top heavy especially when using shorter shaft. My wife uses the small chopping attachment frequently and tossed her old noisy mini-chopper.

Great product but dissatisfied with costumer service.
Love this product. I wished I had gotten the red one. The only issue I have with it is that it only can be charged with USA plugs and there's no disclaimer advising of that as I bought it when living in Europe. I had to buy a transformer to be able to charge it and it was a problem to find one that could suit this product's requirements. The costumer service of KitchenAid was not very helpful at all to solve the situation and they don't sell transformers by themselves as a part that can be used in Europe. I like the casing and the items it brings. The fact that it's wireless is very handy as there are no entangled cables.

Overall, it's great and I like it a lot.
Overall, it's great and I like it a lot. Except for One thing -- You Have to take the battery out of the handle and put it into the charger instead of putting the handle in the charger. WHO DESIGNED THIS THING??
