Compact size but very heavy-duty w/thick side, base & lid -- great for so many uses!
This is such a versatile little cast iron Dutch oven. I have been wanting a cast ion mortar and pestle and so far the largest one I have found is 16-ounces and I ended up ordering it. The pestle is great -- very heavy and solid and it is very sturdy. However, the mortar doesn't quite measure up -- it seems rather small in comparison to the pestle and it is also considerably lighter in weight than I expected + the sides and base are fairly thin (for cast iron, anyway). I thought this Dutch oven might make a good substitute for the mortar even though it doesn't have the usual rounded bottom. It works perfectly! And the entire construction is very heavy and robust with very thick sides and base. This will be useful for so many other things, too. I like the cute shape and I'll be using it for butter on baking day, for BBQ sauce when grilling and it is excellent for small meals for just one. I like the heavy-duty lid, too; it has a flat top to allow coals to be placed on it if the oven is to be nestled in a campfire and there is a ridge around the inner circumference to help keep it in place, but still allow enough movement so I can actually open it when I want to. The logo and little loop handle has a charming, vintage look, too. Of course, being made of cast iron, this will need occasional seasoning. The price is fantastic, as well. I'm very happy to have found this...

Read my reviews. Not sure what to say here beside it’s awesome and worth it!
I am an avid camper and enjoy spicing things up a little. I was able to season this Dutch oven, use it for meatloaf (1 pound of beef plus onions and bell peppers), cleaned it in the creek then added more oil to re-season, then baked some bread the next morning for breakfast. This Dutch oven was the talk of the campsite haha! Great purchase and good size for shorter camping trecks. However longer trips it is quite heavy. But very… very awesome! Fed my buddy and myself a few times with this handy little dude! Even made some French fries for my wife when we went on a hike. Lid fits well, great quality, and the bail (handle) works really well when needed. I would buy this again but I’m sure this one will last me forever.

LOVE IT!
Love this little pot! Great size for making meals for my small dog. Just throw everything in pot, add some water and cook for an hour! PERFECT SIZE! I'll be purchasing more in the future so I can make small portions of different foods for myself as well. Great quality! Great price!

I like them, they look robust and weigh more than other brands, but you have to season them.

My camp in the atchafalaya basin swamp version of a fry daddy !
I bought this to fry just enough fish for one or two people ! I am very happy with this one quart flat bottom dutch oven ! And yes it does sort of look like a flower pot ! The thing is ! This dutch oven has high sides and is not of the short wide types that work well baking and making corn bread ! I did a experiment to see how many batches of catfish could be fried on just a little better than 1 pint of Vegetable oil. Even with the help of a very accurate thermometer and a very well working gas stove where I could keep the temperature between 350 and 375 degrees ! Fish fry contaminates the oil after about the 5th or 6th batch ! Anyhow that plenty of fish ! The only problem is ! There is not much room in the volume of 1 pint ! Anyhow this will work fine down at the camp for frying small batches of fish ! Almost like a presto fry daddy ! There are other options for a one quart cast iron pot ! But for 20 dollars I as happy as a monkey in a monkey tree !

Picture is Misleading: Different Shape & Very Narrow at the Bottom
Five Stars for Amazon's Fast Shipping only. But 1 star for Overall Product rating. This Dutchie is oddly designed. It is not as depicted in the listing. As noticed in picture Dutch Oven appears to be shorter and wide with a wide flat bottom. However I was taken aback to see it's quite different in person. Oddly enough it starts out a bit wide and weirdly narrows at the bottom. The overall design of this product can be best likened to the shape of a "Cone" without being 3 dimensional with sharp point.. Yes, it is tall and bit wider at the top but the flat bottom is very tiny -it's so small at the bottom with a tiny space of 3" on the bottom (interior) and 3.5" on Bottom (exterior) I think it would help to add a picture of the bottom of product while placed on it's side and/or a pic of the flat bottom in an upward position. (sorry, I don't mean to be graphic, I'm just doing my best to describe what may be helpful for a more realistic depiction/description of the product. As for the other aspects of the product, it is has a nice weight and seems to be sturdy. However, I wish the handle was better constructed. I'm concerned that due to its design, that space (hole) through which the handles are placed may end up slipping. Maybe tightening those too sections will alleviate concern of the shorter end slipping through the holes. In conclusion, As a result of its odd design, I think it would only be good for warming some plain (canned) soup--but it will be difficult to cook in this; there's just not enough space to simultaneously accommodate meat, veggies and other products that one is accustomed to adding to a nice hearty soup. I know it's a 1 quart dutch oven but (in my opinion), if it was wider at the bottom, it would be close to being Good overall rating.

considéré pour 1 personne, mais il ne faut pas être un gros mangeur. De plus le produit est arrivé en retard et avec de la rouille. Ne recommande pas au vue du prix

Excellent quality pot. Remember if you are purchasing this only hold 1 quart. Just under a litre of liquid. Perfect for a single person camp meal.
