The throttle did what it was supposed to. Its a 3 wire system so it's not variable.

Good quality throttle for Arrow Max
Good quality throttle. Not as stylish as my original one but it works great and that matters the most.

Faulty switch
This item was defective. The potentiometer inside the switch is faulty. I tested with a multimeter and the resistance never changes.

I have tried many thumb throttles for my scooter and none worked as good as this one. Other I have used have snapped within 1 month/ thumb throttle snap at base, but not this one, this one is very durable and more comfortable then the other useable replacements I have seen with better plastic or material its made out of.
