Not self-heating at all, thus the only reason for 4 stars, because the item description is false advertising. It has more of a menthol cooling effect. That being said, it works pretty much like any other menthol achy muscle patch so no reason not to use these. I honestly have no idea what the little baby magnet in the middle of the patch does but its not irritating to the skin. The smell is medicinal/spearmint, which is nice. The patch itself is pretty thin, adhesion is good, able to sleep with them and wear them for 8+ hours during the day. Helps to have nails to get the paper off and there has not been any leftover residue when removing from skin.

Small patches and it does not self heat ....its barely even warm at all

No self heating
first time purchase. No heating at all. Instead, you feel cold because of mint which makes my symptoms getting worse!
