I have to scan my work ID to get in doors, clock in, etc. Will it still read thru this wallet?

If your access card operates on Low Frequency (125 KHz or 134 KHz) then it will work through the wallet. Most access cards are LH so you shouldn't have any issues. Your credit card and ID operate on High Frequency which is what the wallet lining blocks.

Should there be a wifi like symbol to indicate rfid protection or should i be able to feel a chip?

Hi Karen, The pocket lining is made of silver metallic fabric which blocks the RFID signal from your card. You will be able to see the material inside the wallet.
