Great purchase!
Excellent source of shared leads for my compasses. Having started in high school as a hand drafter, I learned to appreciate the fine lines provided by sharp lead. However I always struggled with maintaining sharp points on my compasses. Often the pieces are too short to sharpen using the lead holder but these pieces are just right. They can be reshaped several times. I’ll buy again when I run out but with this many pieces it will be quite a long time.

Good compass lead refills
The kid was cutting a number two pencil's wood off and I asked what he was doing. He told me that he needed the lead from the pencil for his compass at school. I found this on Amazon and bought a pack, hope the leads will work on the Fiskars compass.

Exactly what I wanted
They fit my 60-year-old compass, that I used as a young man working as a draftsman. I do a lot of woodworking now and I often make a full-scale drawing of my project.
