I have concerns the extraction of fish oil can damage the oil. My understanding is that extracting cod liver oil is a simpler process and less likely to damage the oil. It does have a fishy taste some may hate. I don't. Nor do I have burps. Since the oil is not in a capsule it would be clear if the cod liver oil was rancid. I ordered this in the summer and it arrived rather cool. I was glad to find it was handled with care.

I purchased this for a young senior lady and she loves it. Says her shin is smother and here energy levels have improved.

This is the lowest cost way to obtain diateary Vitamin D and the various Omega-3 fatty acids. Cod Liver oil has been around for about 150 years and has demonstrated its usefulness and safety. It is much less expensive to buy in a bottle than capsules. Carlson's formulation has a proper balance of vitamins. Many Cod Liver Oils contain too great a proportion of Vitamin A. Carlson oil comes from Norway and is packed fresh and it is somewhat comforting to me that the laboratory that prepares it is FDA certified. This oil tastes bad as all Cod Liver Oils do, but this one tastes less bad than any other I have had. I believe this is because it is very fresh. I've never had a flavored oil, but I am pretty sure it just makes it taste bad and lemony or minty or whatever. I figure just get it over with and pay less for the unflavored. I keep mine in the refrigerator and since I have a large family (we use 5 teaspoons a day), this is about the perfect size bottle for a winter Vitamin D supplement. A tip for taking it: take a teaspoon measure and tilt back your head and try to pour the oil right over your tonsils (the way Russians take a shot of vodka, but this is more easily done with a spoon than a shot glass). This way none of the oil contacts your lips and very little gets on your tongue. Also, make sure to chase it with something like oatmeal or milk or something to wash it down your esophagus.

I love it, everyone should use it, because it helps your joints and your whole body, I never want to be without it. You can really tell the difference when you don't take it. Thank you for selling such a wonderful product.
