would this help with compression stockings?

If your hands and fingers are weak, this device will NOT work for compression socks/stockings. The part with the slits that holds the sock collapses. If you have pain and sensitivity in the foot or leg you are covering, it can be a horrible experience if no one is close by to help you. You need one of the strong solid versions of this tool that don’t collapse from compression.

im looking for an aide that the straps are soft and not scratchy. i had one that was scratch. the tools i have now are made like canvas material

No it is not scratchy it is wonderful and I love it! Best invention ever! It even puts my shoes on! I would definitely get another one.

Absolutely the best putting on your socks aid on the market. Before putting your socks on, stretch them, put the socks over the sock aid and then stretch the socks by pulling sock aid at the toe as wide as you can and then the sock aid at the ankle as wide as you can and then slip your foot in and pull your socks on👍👍👍
