Little Broken Hearts

I love this CD and the direction it takes. Whereas her earlier albums seemed somewhat like warm love letters (and I loved them, too), this one is a bit chilly at times. Not surprising, since it was preceded by the breakup of a relationship. Nonetheless, it tends to be more upbeat musically than her earlier works, perhaps reflecting new-found personal freedom. In addition, her voice just keeps getting better, and her singing is far more varied in tone than on any previous album. This deluxe edition is worth the extra few dollars. The second CD contains live recordings of most of the songs on the first CD, plus a great new version of her classic "Don't Know Why." I love all of Norah Jones' earlier works, but I also love this new direction, whether it lasts or not.

I was and remain entranced by this. Sonically and lyrically of a piece. I never tire of it. It always strikes me as if the person/artist is talking to themselves in the private place that noone else ever enters, where the private dialog with the world takes place.

This purchase brought me 3 CDs - 2 from Nora Jones concerts. I am thoroughly enjoying her music!

An already excellent album, now with a fantastic live show featuring the album's songs. Glad I snuck up on this re-release...

what can i say kick ass album

A great body of songs on this CD. As always, Norah's great voice brings a lot of passion to these songs. Clearly, she doesn't shy away from experiences in her life. Her band really helps step up the tempo while providing some innovative keyboard and guitar sounds. Listen to her grow on this CD!

It is probably worth buying this Deluxe edition just to have the live versions of Jones's songs (all good) and the brilliant "Black". It is a shame there is no live version of "After The Fall", as that is a wonderful song.Obviously CD2 does not have the production or cohesion of CD1 (Little Broken Hearts original album), which is superb, but I am glad I spent the extra few pounds, simply because the Deluxe version seems quite rare and is pretty good.

perfectly divine pop, well produced, somewhat quirkily arranged, and beautifully sung ... so Norah Jones does everything, and she seems to do it all with supreme aplomb ... a great lightweight album done in the faux-innocent style to very catchy tunes

I love Norah Jones music. Little Broken Hearts is much different approach if compared to first few albums. It is more a logical follow up of the experimental Norah on The Fall. I appreciate very much musicians that never repeat the format but keep the original substance.

Ich kenne diese CD schon einige Zeit SUPER schön , habe sie diesmal einem guten Freund geschenkt , da sieim einschlägigen Einzelhandel nicht zu bekommen war , d a n k e :-)

Un texture de voix qui ferai glisser sur un velours chaud, soyeux et épais. De bonne mélodies, mon morceau préféré "Miriam" ! La version live vient compléter le tableau ! Belle édition deluxe mais qui ne rentre pas dans mes étagères spéciales CD !Manque un RV avec Norah Jones pour boire un thé !

Il est tout simplement génial comme album, il était temps qu'elle en sorte un !!! sincèrement vivement le prochain ...

国内版は既に所有しているが、この盤は、シンコーミュージックMOOKのオールアバウト・ノラジョーンズで存在に気付き、ボーナスディスクが同アルバム収録曲含むライブ音源で、なおかつDont Know Whyが逸品ということで、購入。なおアマゾンではディスク数＝1になっているが誤表記。ディスク数＝2です。おまけにしては収録時間も長く、内容も良く、満足です。
