It is so much easier to roll the curtain open and closed and they look nice as well. You need some finger strength to close the hooks at the bottom after passing them through the liner and curtain but, I like that they then feel so secure and it was not a problem for me.

Looks good out of the box. I had similar ones that lasted over 6 years before rust started to show on the rollers. My bathroom is very humid because of lack of ventilation. I hope these will last me another 6 years or more.
