Not what I expected
If you’re getting into making coin rings, one of the most important aspects of sizing is knowing how big to make your initial hole through a certain coin. Most rings in the U.S. are either Half Dollars or Silver Dollars. These two coins require a 1/2” punch out for size 9 or below and a 5/8” punch out for 10 or above. This set comes with 1/2” and small. It is partially self-centering using washers that are sized to common coin sizes. Here’s the catch- even if you intend to make size 9 and below with large or small coins, you will have issue with the metal this tool is made from. I’m not sure what alloy they use but it is softer than my other more expensive self-centering die and punches. You’ll save money but you will regret the lesser quality of the steel used in this product. Search Jasons.works. Expensive but really dependable.

SAVE YOUR MONEY
Total junk. The part that 'looks like brass' is actually aluminum. So if you have one miss hit it gets severely dented. and the actual cutting punches are NOT hardened. After doing one annealed quarter and one that wasn't the cutting edge is starting to roll over. Again, save your money and try to buy from a reputable American manufacturer that uses quality materials.

Punch problem
The punches are nice and sharpened but are not hardened steel. This means they leave a sharp edge that protrudes around the punched out coin hole that takes more time to take out with a deburring tool and sanding. Still doable and cheaper than another coin punch maker though.

Don’t bother
Don’t bother buying this. Put a little more money in it and buy a quality punch. These don’t cut all the way through and they also come out cone shape.
