Polk Audio Monitor XT20 1" Terylene Tweeter & 6.5" Dynamically Balanced Woofer, Bookshelf Speaker (PAIR) Black

I have never used Pol audio before, but a fellow musician recommended it and I started reading up. Then I figured in my budget these XT20's were the only ones. I read up and did more study as sadly there isn't a place where I could go and check out multiple speaker brands myself. Thankfully the internet was of much help, saw these are and picked them up. Sounds amazing, a full clarity spectrum even without subs, sounds clean, no audible distortions even at higher volumes though I listen not at a very high volume. The lows are well defined, the mids are juicy and the highs are very well defined. Loving listening to music on these, infact I am listening more and enjoying it so much. Love it! Though in India it is costly due to customs charges. Paired with Marantz PM6007 and having fun. Also bought Auris blueMe for BT streaming. My first audiophile system.

PC環境のスピーカーを買い替えたく、しばらく悩んでいるうちにPOLK AUDIOが目に止まりました。 丁度シアター構成のサラウンドを新調したいと考えていたので、試しにMXT15を購入。 エージングがてらPCで使用し、方向性がマッチすると考え1ランク上のMXT20に決めました。 最近アクティブスピーカー市場で流行りの傾向である｢モニターサウンド｣という言葉をよく目にするため、このシリーズもMonitor XTという名前からしてモニターライクな音を連想させますが、これは｢手頃な価格で高性能｣というPOLKの伝統的なMonitorシリーズという意味の名称になっています。 MXT20は上も下も解像度はそこまで高くなく、柔らかな温かい音です。 高域が前に出てくる鋭さがなく、良い意味で音がバラけるので、このサイズのスピーカーを近距離で鳴らしても自分の周りが音に包まれているような感覚になり心地良さを感じます。聞き疲れもあまりしません。 小音量で聴く場合でもMXT15よりMXT20の方が良い音が出ます。 MXT20に決めるにあたり、このサイズが許す環境ならSignature Elite ESの同サイズや上位のReserve R100も検討しましたが、 上位モデルたちは精密で明瞭ですが、価格なりの本領を発揮するにはある程度の距離をとった方が扱いやすいです。 対してMXT20は音が広がりやすい傾向があり、このサイズでありながらPCデスク用途という超ニアフィールドの使用にも向くという上位シリーズにはない利点があります。 これがMonitor XTが入門用という立ち位置のおかげで、距離にとらわれない設置のしやすさにも繋がっているように感じます。 一応ニアフィールド使用の対策としてスタンドで底上げし、本体を上下反転しています。 そうすることで近距離のデメリットのツィーター位置の改善や、ウーファーの机の反射を抑えることができます。上下反転が懸念なくできる筐体なのも良いところです。 何を鳴らしてもある程度の良い音が出ますが、全てが得意なわけではありません ボーカルメインやアコースティックなどをじっくり聴きたい時は写真の端にかすかに映っているNS-F500を使っています。 R100などの上位と比べるとほぼ全ての音楽ジャンルで上を行かれますが、メタルやロック、EDMはMXT20の方が良かったです。 私の用途は上記の曲調と似た傾向であるゲームや動画視聴がメインなのでMXT20の前に出てくる明るい特性がマッチしています。 言うまでもなくこの音でこの価格というところが最大の利点であり、全てを黙らせる納得感があります。 長く付き合っていけるスピーカーだと感じました。

Ni chicos ni grandes, aguantan 200w bien sonados, actualmente los uso con un Behringer A800 y muy bien, también los use con un par de CROWN XLS 1002 en un sistema bi-amplificado con subwoofers y sonaba bestial, pero su verdadero encanto es usarlos solos, porque tienen buen timbre y bajeo controlado sin ser esponjoso para apreciar los detalles. Si recomiendo a ojos cerrados, también las pequeñas XT15 son un encanto.

It's true - Polk has upped their game the past few years with better tuning of their speakers and the MXT-20 is no different. I was able to get these for a very good price, the build quality is pretty decent as speakers have generally been built better for several years now. Great bass, down to 38Hz although this can become un-refined a bit at higher volume. Very responsive to EQ, the bass can get thick on certain recordings but is not muddy. The tweeter plays a bit on the tame side, these are definitely not bright with my amps. They are rated up to 200 watts so they can get pretty loud The grills are nice, not magnetic but the fabric is a pleasant tweed. The light-colored driver is a magnet for being touched with the grills off. Really good job by Polk, the MXT / Signature Elite / Reserve lines are all impressive and have replaced the previous models considerably. If these boxes can be placed 24"- 30" on stands with on-axis the sound is very focused at moderate/high volume. They are much better than I expected and work better with high power amps like other Polk speakers I've owned. The price varies but are often on sale, hard to find better value for a speaker this good.

Fantastic Monitoring speakers at a fair price. I am very surprised by the high definition / resolution sound these speakers deliver. Highs, mids and bass are exellenty balanced (thousand times better than any Presonus or M-Audio I have owned) and therefore extremely well suited for pro music production. These speakers are really heavy and checks all the boxes for flawless superior quality. I am very happy with this purchase and can whole heartedly recommend these speakers to music producers and audiophiles alike. If you are serious about high quality pro sound monitoring speakers then this is absolutely a must have for you.

Fantastiche, dopo anni di ricerhe e prove ho trovato i diffusori che aspettavo, prezzo prestazioni ineguagliabili, ben costruiti ottimi materiali, bellissimi i woofers ed altrettanto i tweeters, solidissimo e ben rifinito il cabinet, connettori ribusti ed in fine il suono, equilibrato i bassi ben prifondi non gonfiati gli alti ed i medi mai fastidiosi e ben dettagliati regalano un suono naturale e mai affaticante potrei stare intere giornate a riscoltare tutti i brani per risentirli come mai li havevo ascoltati con una nuova aria di freschezza Stramega consigliatissimi
