SCV400RD 220/240V Slow Cooker, 3.5 L

I purchased my first slow-cooker over 50 years ago and have never been without one in my home. The Dutch had no idea what they were or how they worked when I moved here 44 years ago from the UK but my Dutch husband quickly learned how tender meat cooks and how easy preparations for a family meal was. Lamb, beef and chicken are especially soft to eat and Irish stew or a hot-pot following my mum's recipe from 65 years ago can't be faulted! I purchased a Crockpot with a hinged lid over 5 years ago thinking this was a great move forward especially trying to keep the kitchen counter clean or not dropping said lid when trying to turn it up-side-down when it rested on a round knob - wobbly and not very safe! The holder for the hinge on the lid has now come loose on one side twice and although it's repairable (I hope), it will take me the best part of a whole afternoon to do as I have to disconnect all the wiring inside in order to get to the 'hole' where the screw passes through to the plastic holder on the outside. As it's now become loose twice tells me that the hole for the screw is too large. I therefore decided to go back to basics and purchased a 'normal' crockpot (colour to match some KitchenAid machines on the counter ! ) but now with an additional lid holder selling separately for just €11,00. A great shame I hadn't found the lid holder 5 years ago as this would have saved money and import duties - the hinged crockpots are twice as expensive as the regular ones and I couldn't find a Dutch seller so had to purchase from a UK seller and pay extra customs fees. I'm looking forward to putting my new red Crockpot to use in the coming days knowing the result will be excellent (*_*)

Ich habe diesen Crock-Pot Schongarer nun schon seit mehreren Jahren regelmäßig in Gebrauch und er sieht noch immer aus wie am ersten Tag. Die Verarbeitung ist robust und hochwertig, nichts hat sich verfärbt oder abgenutzt. Der Slow Cooker ist extrem vielseitig einsetzbar: Ich habe darin bereits zahlreiche Gerichte zubereitet, alles wurde bisher wunderbar zart und geschmackvoll. Besonders Fleisch gelingt perfekt, es zerfällt nach dem Garen regelrecht wie Butter. Mit den zwei Temperaturstufen und der Warmhaltefunktion ist die Bedienung einfach und zuverlässig. Das Fassungsvermögen von 3,5 Litern reicht locker für 3–4 Personen und ist ideal für Familien oder zum Vorkochen. Auch die Reinigung ist unkompliziert: Ein kurzes Einweichen über Nacht reicht völlig aus, danach lässt sich alles mühelos säubern. Insgesamt ein sehr langlebiges, zuverlässiges und praktisches Küchengerät, das ich jederzeit wieder kaufen würde.

Excellente casserole pour les cuissons longues. Je l'ai essayée immédiatement et j'en suis très satisfaite.
