Fantastic Presonus interface and value
This presonus audio interface was fantastic value for money, the included onboard DSP effects for recording are very special and are of high quality. I’m not sure why presonus didn’t pursue this concept further on their newer interfaces. I would have liked a 4 or 6 channel version of this very same style of interface but It never happened for some reason. Now the company has been taken over by Fender. Now on the latest products there is no Presonus name on any product, just the fender logo which is bad I think. I got this interface at a fantastic price from Amazon and it was also delivered very quickly too. It is absolutely worthy of five stars for what it can do for your recordings, also the price I paid for it.

Perfect for my old Boss BR-1180 digital studio mixer!
I had tried the Presonus Studio 24c first and whilst that is a good little audio interface, it wasn't suitable for my specific needs. I have an old Boss BR-1180 digital studio mixer with a load of old recordings that I'm currently transfering over to the computer. With no USB input on the Boss, the only way to do this is to record everything in real time using a DAW. I connected the Studio 24c using an RCA to TS cable and whilst this enabled me to record in stereo, I was unable to monitor the recordings on my Boss machine in stereo prior to recording them in the DAW. Enter the Revelator io44. Whilst this appears to be more geared towards podcasters it's actually perfect for my needs. I currently have the Boss connect via an RCA to TRS cable and everything sounds great. I'm able to monitor in stereo prior to recording and I'm finally able to get these old recordings into my DAW for further editing.

Fantastic streaming audio interface
I've been using this audio interface to both stream and use with video chat applications at work. It works fantastically well, even plugged into a KVM. The software is intuitive and the provision of a fully configurable fat channel is excellent. Very impressed overall.

A great tool for recording demos and tutorials
A great tool for recording demos and tutorials, super easy use for video calling and all-round great product. It's not the prettiest thing in the world but it blows all interfaces in this price range out of the water. You have loopback, made easiest by far than any other company. Decent mic/line inputs Onboard DSP effects for treating your voice. 3 mode volume for both main output, headphone output and mic/monitor blend. Super 6 stars

Fantastic product
I’d been looking for something like this for years - audio interface with DSP for mic processing. Sounds fantastic with undetectable latency although I wish it was possible to configure the speaker mute button as a mic mute button.

Audio response is not as per the official spec. Multiple bugs in the software
I measured the response of the device using SMAART measurement software, with a cable connected from the output back to the input, comparing a test signal sent down that cable to the original signal. The device shows a slight roll off in the response below 100hz, ending up 4dB down at 20hz. The official spec says the frequency response is "+0.1dB/-0.3dB 20hz-20khz" so a 4dB drop is a significant deviation from the advertised specification, to an extent I would personally describe this as false advertising. Despite this, Presonus support said this 4dB deviation is actually within tolerance for this device. A slight roll off in the low end probably won't affect most users but if you are expecting accurate results you won't get them from this device, and if you want manufacturers to tell the truth about the quality of their products, well Presonus apparently do not Additionally the device has well documented problems where it loses its settings when powered off/disconnected, then when you reconnect the device and open the mixer app, the app settings and device settings will actually be out of sync until you start moving controls on the app. There is no warning or error to indicate that the app settings do not match those on the device - you just have to figure it out for yourself. For example, you can mute the inputs so you no longer hear them, disconnect the device, wait a few minutes then when you reconnect it the inputs will no longer be muted (and you can hear them again). Then you open the app and even though it's connected to the interface and the meters are showing the signal level correctly, it will also show the inputs as being muted - as per the earlier settings you left it on - so you would think the inputs are now muted, but in fact you can still hear them because they're still unmuted on the device, despite showing as muted on the app - until you move a control on the app, and only then the device updates to match the app settings. There are many reports online of people having this same issue. If you plan to leave it permanently plugged in I guess it won't matter, but if you plan to use this with a laptop on the move then be prepared for some headaches Finally if you save a scene preset in the mixer app (this is how most people are dealing with the device losing its settings when disconnected) and then attempt to rename that preset, the app pops up a windows error dialog showing a file permissions problem. I then found that continued use of that scene resulted in the inputs sounding really bad, like there was some really bad comb filtering on them. It took me ages to figure out what was going on, I honestly thought the unit had broken already, luckily the app has a reset button and pressing that fixed the problem (I then deleted the corrupt scene and the problem didn't come back). So don't rename the scenes, if you need to just save a new scene with the new name and delete the old one All in all, this is a very low quality product with several significant issues, for similar money you can do a lot better, and it's a real shame because it's actually a really neat design - digital gain control and clear metering on an LCD screen are features not found on many interfaces, especially at this price point, but the software issues and poor frequency response outweigh this in my opinion
