Feel like a lumberjack.
I'm 64 and have been using a chain saw since I was 20. I never had any protective clothing, not even gloves or glasses. With this outfit, I feel safe, secure and smart as I'm not as spry as I used to be and I bought the largest, most powerful, loudest and heaviest chain saw that I ever had. This year it's been so cold that I've had to go into the woods and cut more firewood in February. Not only that but there is two feet of snow on the ground. The helmet is adjustable and it fits over the thin hood of my "lumberjack" shirt. The ear muffs work well and even keep my ears warm. The glasses are good and do not fog much. The screen shield keeps all the chips from flying in my face and under my collar. The gloves were nice in the fall but get wet in the snow so I use my cross country ski gloves which are waterproof and breath better although they provide less protection. Everything is comfortable while I posthole along pulling my sled and looking for standing dead hardwood trees. Now if I can only remember to stop spitting when the screen shield is down..

Very good
Very good gear at a great price. They gloves are a little big but very nice. The helmet is my favorite. It's sturdy on your head and it really does make you feel a little safe. Bibs are great as well. The safety glasses are nice as well but everyone that cuts woods has multiple pair. Very happy and worth every penny

Definitely not worth the price.
Helmet too small and can't be adjusted. Gloves provide no significant protection. Would definitely not recommend this package to anyone.

Great product
The chaps are quite warm and comfortable. Feels safe. The ear muffs are really quite. The gloves fit great, are warm, and feel nice. They are heavy duty. The helmet is nice too. Overall a must have for the chainsaw operator in your house.

So-So. Some good items.
Chaps and gloves are fine. Helmet disappointing in sturdiness, though functional. 6 of 10 re Quality. Goggles are a joke; "throw-in". Could have done better purchasing components separately. Would have been worth the extra paid. Wise to be more wary of "kit" packages.

Husqvarna Chain Saw Protective Apparel Powerkit, Professional
I was looking for a complete safety package, and finally the price dropped for this kit. Included is the helmet with screen, ear protection, safety glasses, lanyard, chaps, suspenders and gloves. The helmet/screen/ear protection combination is an outstanding product. The fit of the helmet is great, and the screen protects the user against debris. The earmuffs are built into the helmet, and with some quick the user is ready to go. The included instructions are a bit tough to follow, as the pictures are very small, but it's easy to put together. The chaps are of a great quality and the fit is adjustable with buckles at the waist and down each leg for a custom fit. The safety glasses are of so-so quality, the lone complaint in the box. I'm going to be substituting a personal pair for the included ones. The gloves have good dexterity, you don't get the feeling that your working with "oven mitts". They have extra padding on the left glove from the finger tips to the wrist. They run SLIGHTLY large. Something to keep in mind if you have smaller hands. I thought the fit was good, and wore them all day without any problems with vibration. Overall a good purchase if the price is right. It worked out to be cheaper than ordering each item individually. Husqvarna quality is evident in each item in the box (with the exception of the glasses).

Dork or smart?
well, I felt like a dork at first... full on orange chaps with suspenders, helmet with debris / face shield screen, big chainsaw safe gloves. the chaps quickly made me feel more secure ------- just the inertial kick of the saw when squeezing the throttle is concerning enough. Lots of close encounters with my legs. Nothing different than normal I suppose, but after a few hours of comprehensive safety videos and after getting intimate with my chain (sharpening --- OMG these things are scary S H A R P) I felt a hell of a lot better having some armor on my legs. the gloves? well, if nothing else I didn't get a single splinter from grabbing limbs, snapping twigs, etc. the helmet? It became useful when pole sawing high limbs --- at one point I had to duck and cover. No contact, but the helmet was there for me when I needed it. The built in ear muffs that snap out of the way --- awesome. My ears feel goooood after a lot of sawing. The mesh face shield ----- possibly my favorite part. Definitely my most under appreciated aspect of the whole get up. I had no idea that it was going to do so much for me --- many, many times as I was snapping twigs, etc the face shield took the hit instead of my face. I am here to tell you, buy the $150 kit if you use a chainsaw. BUY IT. My only wish is foot protection. Even though your aren't supposed to, your feet are so useful at propping the cut that you can't avoid it -- you're gonna use your feet, and more often than not, they are dangerously close to the cut. In the end, I'm very very happy with my $150 purchase and the thought of looking like an over prepared dork in a chaps/helmet/face shield/ear muffs/gloved getup does not matter one bit. Oh, also for the first time ever for me the chain break did it's job. I don't even know how it happened or any of the specifics (things happened very fast), but my wrist hit the chain break with enough force to stop the chain. My helmet is scratched, my gloves and chaps are dirty, my chain is dull, and I got home with only wood chips in my shoes. I don't feel dorky.
