This shoehorn is the second telescoping shoehorn I have purchased from Amazon. The first had a metal horn that bent the very first time I tried to use it. I had purchased it because I thought a metal horn would be stronger than a plastic one. I was wrong. I sent it back. The Mishell Shoe Horn Long Handle, Telescopic 16"-38", Sturdy Aluminium Alloy, Shoe Horn Long Handle with a plastic horn has worked perfectly and proved to be stout throughout the several weeks I have used it. The plastic is slippery enough that the foot just slips into the shoe. The handle works perfectly, gliding effortlessly in and out from its full extent to a compact size, locking securely at any length with a short twist. A twist in the opposite direction reinstates the free gliding function. Easily transportable, the horn unscrews from the handle and the whole thing fits conveniently into a sturdy little canvas storage bag. I highly recommend it, especially for those who have difficulty bending over to put on shoes. Oh, did I mention the affordable price?

Family member has knee and hip problems and trying to put shoes on is a task. We finally found a shoe horn that was sturdy and adjustable. A travel bag was included with the purchase, this will come in handy when traveling and will fit perfectly in a suitcase. The price was great and delivered the next day.

Works great. Nice to be able to adjust and lock at different lengths as needed. I found that you cannot count on all your doctors having a shoe horn so specifically bought this as a traveling aid. Breaks down and stores easily with my walker.
