Terra Cotta is characterized by a timeless color and texture, even though manufacturing methods and designs have naturally evolved over the years. Our Terra Cotta kitchenware looks natural in any style of kitchen. Review: Absolutely Perfect! - This is the third storage container I've tried to save my garlic and it's the first that's worked! The first I tried was a fabric-lined burlap storage back - the garlic molded right away. The second was a glazed ceramic container that had a section for onions on the bottom and garlic on the top - it worked okay, however the bottom was too small for the onions which rotted quickly and the top was way too large for garlic which didn't keep very well either and overall that container was just too large on the counter (I feel like I sound like goldilocks). THIS, however, this terra-cotta container for garlic has been the perfect fix!!! I still need to figure out how to store my onions properly, but at least the garlic is taken care of. This container is also small - doesn't take up a ton of space on the counter and it looks really nice! Review: looks great on a countertop) - Aesthetically pleasing (has a classic appeal, not gimmicky, looks great on a countertop), spacious (holds 3 garlic bulbs comfortably), and has kept my garlic fresh. Yes, it's expensive, but I think it's worth the price!

Nice Cellar But Way Overpriced!
I have the matching sugar bowl and have always liked it, so because I really disliked my previous garlic seller with the way too small opening on top, this seemed perfect. It's bigger than I expected, and I'd say it could hold 3 medium to small heads of garlic. I love the bit opening on top which allows you to put in or remove the garlic quite easily. I also like the looks of this cellar. I'm always careful with both my sugar container and this one as I'm sugar they would break easily if they were dropped...just like a flower pot, actually. I also choked at the fairly ridiculous price I paid for this....it really should have been half of what it was. Yet there I went and paid the silly price, which I guess encourages overpricing things. My sugar bowl was affordable 5 or 6 years ago when I got that one, probably fifteen or so. I had to take off one star for exorbitant pricing. It did arrive nicely protected and double boxed.

This is the best possible garlic keeper available
This is the best possible garlic keeper available. Yes, it's expensive and can be a bit delicate if you drop it (so don't do that), but it's basically the gold standard for garlic keepers. It's made of unglazed terracotta which is ideal for wicking away moisture and keeping it away from your garlic bulbs. And it's not made in China. Ships from the UK via usps/royal mail; packaging was excellent and shipping was fast.

This garlic keeper is perfect! It’s not too big (I took a picture of it with a jar of peanut butter for a frame of reference), but it will hold 4-5 large bulbs. I love the design and because it’s not too big, won’t take up too much counter space.

Fully glazed inside and out
The one I received was glazed inside and out in a gray color, and it had a wooden lid. Although the Henry Watson label was glazed into the jar (not the lid), I returned it. I can buy a glazed garlic "cellar" for <$10.

A Little Pricey but Very Nice
Although it is a little pricey for a small terra cotta jar, it does look great on the counter and provide storage for about 4 decent sized cloves of garlic.

Great garlic keeper.
This keeps garlic well and prevents it from sprouting. Comfortably holds two large heads of garlic. A third can be stored, but will probably have to be broken up into "clumps" of cloves. I use a lot of garlic in my cooking, but as there are only two of us, I have to store it for awhile as well.

Fantastic traditional looking garlic keeper that holds a good number of bulbs within. I really like the print on the lid that gives it that vintage charm I so often like with kitchen ware. Well made with a lovely smooth finish throughout and a satisfying weighty feel to it, you can instantly appreciate the quality. Just be aware however, the lid sits loosely on the keeper, so if moving it around, undertake in a careful manner to avoid any catastrophe!! I tend to keep it well away from the hob as splashes of oil during cooking can conspicuously mark the terracotta ruining its appearance, though this can be cleaned to a degree by using a wet cloth. It was delivered very well packaged to guarantee its safe arrival. Overall a lovely garlic keeper that keeps my garlic lovely and fresh for at least 2 weeks.

This garlic cellar has heft. The bottom has a mass of 620 g and the lid is 200 g. The sides are 1/4" thick and the lid is 0.35" thick with a 0.18" lip. The cellar breathes through the holes and directly through the unglazed ceramic. It easily fits 4 regular sized heads of garlic. In addition I was able to store two more heads with a couple of cloves removed from each for a total of 4+2. This cellar seems to strike the right balance between being too well sealed resulting in mold and too much ventilation resulting in the garlic drying out. My garlic is keeping well. At $38.60 this seemed extravagant but I am happy with the purchase and would buy it again at that price.

Highly recommended. The absolute hands-down best garlic keeper I ever had.

Gone are the days of garlic lasting no longer than my ex boyfriend, because this little beauty is keeping my garlic fresher than anything else I’ve ever used. It has that lovely cold terracotta feel to it. Looks great too; I’ve had loads of compliments. You can fit a few bulbs in it at a time. I’ve attached a photo of a large garlic bulb inside it for your reference, so if you’re looking for something small in size to accommodate just one or two bulbs, then this may not be for you, so check the dimensions. I checked with the seller about the direction of the holes and was advised they can be facing any side. This would look good in any kitchen and make a great gift for someone who loves their kitchen bits, or just loves garlic. If you’re looking for something to store away in a cupboard, then I reiterate to note the size as this isn’t small and the lid isn’t air tight - it just sits on top, so it could easily fall off if you would need to be reaching up to get this down from a cupboard/shelf. Having said that, in my opinion, this is something that should be out on the work top, not hidden away. Complements any kitchen. Thoroughly recommend.

A bit held up in delivery but worth the few extra days wait. I have been trying to get a pottery garlic holder for ages to replace my rusting metal one. This is just what I wanted, robust and practical. Item well packaged and looks well in my kitchen. Great
