This hair product leaves a great look to spiked hair and is not sticky. It is a nice matte look, doesn’t have any shine. Gives your hair a natural look and smells great!

I've been using sumoclay for a while now and and have found it perfect for holding my hair, which is thick and unruly. My routine is to apply B&B thickening spray to wet hair, then blowdry, and finally add the Sumoclay. Definitely only use it on dry hair - the one downside of the product is that if my hair gets wet somehow, it totally loses the hold. However, my routine is super easy and these products provide a lot more support to the structure than other products I've tried, but without making it stiff or sticky as many products do. Basically I take about a dime-size dab of product, rub it between my fingers to melt it down a bit, and then apply with fingers. Since I have short hair and only apply it to the top/front area, one of these tubs lasted me about a year of (near-)daily usage. The product does have an scent, but it's pretty minimal compared to other options and fades soon after application (I am scent sensitive, so this is a big concern for me). I'd definitely recommend it!

I purchased this product after watching YT'er Justin Hickox recommend a texturing clay for fine, low density bob styling. I like this product because it provides light weight texture and volume without the sticky feeling of mousse and hairspray. If my hair begins to look a bit flat, a good fluff brings it backs into shape. It warms up easily in the hands and is workable. My hair feels touchable and soft with a bit grit that isn't heavy. A new favorite styling product for me.

You only need a little warm by rubbing fingers then apply hold is amazing without weighing hair down. Excellent product

I’ve been searching for hair product to hold my aging gray hair and I finally found it. I’ve gone through so many products that give my hair both body and shape and none of them work as well as this product. I highly recommend it.

The texture of the product in the jar is wonderful. Smooth and shiny and easy to spread. However after applying it leaves hair feeling very waxy and greasy and very unnatural. It does hold the hair stiffly. However if you or someone you love runs their hands through your hair it is very unpleasant.

After using Being Primitive for more than a decade I was gifted a jar of Sumoclay. I wasn't to pleased but in a pinch I had no choice. I'll never go back! This is strong, light and doesn't leave any residue or grease in my hair. It's absolutely perfect and worth every penny!Highly recommend!!!!
