Darksilver Forge Cthulhu's Gold Metal D&D Dice Set for Tabletop Roleplaying Games, DND, Pathfinder RPG

This review would have received a 1 star a week ago. But after working with the company they have blown me away with Darkforge’s, the manufacturer, customer service and responsiveness to my issue.Upon receiving the set I was very impressed with the case and die. Solid metal case with dense foam inside to hold the die. Gold color was clean and shiny with no defects or blemishes. Deep black number inlays had a sharp contrast. Edges were sharp and points are dangerous on the D4 (don’t step on them). Good weight and feel in the hand. All in all an good set of dice for the price.Here is where it went wrong: the D20 did not roll random. It consistently landed on the 1 or the numbers directly around it. NOT something you want if playing a RPG. So I contacted the company directly to see what could be done.Long story short, Dave, took care of me waaayyyy better that 8 I thought would happen and has earned my loyalty for life.Metal die are a lifetime investment for starters but they will not have all the free word of mouth advertisements from me here on out. No I was not paid to say any of this and I do not work for the company.

An update: as I left this review, I contacted customer support due to my issue. Not only did they respond within 15 minutes (yes, 15 minutes), they offered a full refund, very considerate of the fact that I had not used these dice until later than the return window. I'm sure it was an issue localized to me. These dice are great except for that, and like I said, judging by others' reviews, it was an issue specific to me. You are in good hands with this seller. 5/5 for support quality. A good set of dice, but after not too much use (about 45 minutes of the dice actually being in motion) I noticed that the paint on the d20 was chipping, as well as some of the other dice, giving them an unpleasant look. This disappoints me, as the dice were relatively expensive and I got very little use out of them before they chipped, causing an unpleasant aesthetic, defeating the purpose of my purchase in the first place. The chipping started recently but I can only assume that it will get worse over time. You can see the chipping best on the 90 on the d100.

I'm a long-time TTRPG fan, and I was shopping around for some classy dice for my new Great Old One Warlock. I've never ordered from this company, but I found them quite durable and very well balanced (I test all my dice for proper balance). I'd recommend rolling these on a dice mat, since metal dice can warp or chip when rolled on hard surfaces. Otherwise, they're very aesthetically pleasing, and the finish seems be holding after two months of semi-consistent use. I would definitely order more sets in the future.

I've been playing long enough to remember when metal polyhedrals first hit the scene and were *insanely* expensive. The fact that today I can get a full set of metal RPG dice of this high quality for 25 bucks is amazing. They are gorgeous, roll without noticeable bias, and are clearly legible from all angles.I bought this set 48 hours after a set I ordered of another color arrived, that's how impressed I was. If you're looking for metal dice for your D&D, Pathfinder, Savage Worlds, etc. games, I don't see how you could be disappointed by these. Top-notch!

Sadly they seem to have corroded slightly on some of the sharper edges, the rest of the dice are fine but I found what appears to be surface rust on the d4 and d6, it's not horrible though and I'm probably being overly picky. Dice roll well and are nicely random. Love the color, it's more of a satin gold than a matte gold but they're brilliant overall! My only other slight issue is the 4 on the d12 seems to be a bit... off, like there was some flash in the mold during the casting. Overall I still love these dice.

Holy crap are these things awesome! Heavy and impressive, they roll like a champ. Clean and easy to read, maybe if you had to find a negative they are too heavy for a delicate table. If you have a tray or some kind of play area, they're amazing and just feeling the heft in your hand it feels like... victory! Definitely a nat 20 here.

If you want to come on strong for your RPG session then use metal dice, this is an excellent set. The only bad thing about the set is that it doesn't come with a dice bag to store it.

The dice look better than they do in the picture, the deep black inset with the gold looks phenomenal. The feel and quality of dice themselves, as well as the case, are great. The metal case feels really solid and does not bend when applied with force. 10/10, would recommend. The black matte finish of the case adds to the appeal. Will review more after they have been played with a little more

The are the best dice I have ever bought, love feel, how heavy they are and easy to read the black numbers on the gold - I use them every week
