I read an article on Disney World and how they rid their park of mosquitos. Upon learning that they utilized a garlic spray, I immediately went into research mode. I found this formula and have been purchasing it ever since. I have found that it works great and even burns if it gets on you due to the capscasin (derived from the seeds of hot peppers). I have also discovered that it not only keeps mosquitos away, but also mammals. Anything that has taste buds (so no birds) will avoid the area of this spray. If they do bite into it, they quickly go into a tongue flapping routine to spit it out and then associate the smell as NOPE, forever. I spray it on any vegetation that my wife wishes to protect from deer, rabbits, squirrels, and any other creature that enjoys munching on her plants and garden. As for myself, I've used it to protect my fruit trees/bushes every year (the only thing I wish is that I knew about this product a year prior). No mosquitos or other leafy consuming insects; No plant and garden destroyers. No fuss and long lasting. Cons: Having said the above, it is best to spray this when you know it wont be raining for a stretch of time or else you'll be reapplying it after each rain to keep up with it's effectiveness. If you let this stuff sit on your skin, you'll become sensitive in that area until you wash it off.

Works great for mosquitoes in NWI... Spray down once a week and was plenty for all summer

We have continued to use this mixture on our back yard prior to family events or parties. We simply mixed it in our backyard sprayer, either hand held or tractor mount and sprayed everywhere, trees play ground, fire pit, sitting area, and it seemed to help. Not only that people will think your constantly grilling garlic chicken as the smell is very tolerable. No harm or side effects to animals.

I like the smell. The garlic fades in scent rather quickly so it isnt overwhelming. I purchased a ½ gallon sprayer and used this FREQUENTLY! On my outdoor couch, floors, plants, table, clothes, dirt ground, play equiptment, all around my door where the skeeters accumulate! I even dumped it in our outdoor evap cooler so it wafted the scent all over (I keep mosquito pellets in there and bleach when not in use)... I was desperate for this to work, twice a day going out and spraying while my kids played. It didnt work. Not even a bit. The skeeters just didnt care. I did this religiously for a week as I NEEDED to justify the hefty cost to my husband... 😬 No. Alas. Doesnt work on AZ mosquitos. Tried it in our garden and I didnt notice a decrease in bugs. Read somewhere the garlic needs to be ingested in order for it to be effective (added sweetners). But I already wasted a bunch of 💸 here so just got some low-level DEET to spray on clothes. Darn it. That works. I REFUSE to kill my yard bugs! I need them! I so wanted this to work. On plus side, it does not smell bad, doesnt stain and doesnt make garden food smell or taste bad at all. So maybe it would be better aimed at protecting produce (as it is marketed to do). Just doesnt work against out mosquito population. Again, I didnt want to kill our garden bugs so I cannot speak to that aspect of it's perported claim, but I aim to try this when we have our a annual caterpiller moth invasion that destroys my mountain laurels. 🤞 I am only mildly upset because I like that this concept exists and I want to not be too negative. I hope that is ok.
