Tablecraft Round Pasta Basket, 6-1/2 by 7-Inch, Stainless Steel

Looking for a replacement for a worn out hand sieve, Amazon suggested this one. We've tried it and it is excellent. Good quality construction and very easy to use. I just trained some soaked/dried peas for making soup and the shape, and long handle are very easy to use. And clean up afterwards. Recommended.

I bought this to replace another basket that finally broke after 20 years. A feature of that basket that I enjoyed was that it's handle was like a bucket handle and hung down the side so that it was smaller to store. This one is a little smaller capacity, but takes up more room in the cupboard. It is sturdy though.

Heavy duty...great quality. I specifically purchased it for blanching (peas are just about ready to harvest) and thought the pasta use was a bonus. I found that spaghetti is too thin for this as they could escape through the holes of the basket. I'm sure all other pastas would work great. Gail

This works perfectly for cooking pasta. When it's done, you just lift the basket out of the water, instead of carrying a large pot of boiling water to the sink and pouring it through a colander. Much lighter, easier, safer, cleaner.

This is a very nice cooker/strainer. On the larger side for more than one serving. But works so well. I highly recommend!
