A Classic
This is a short story and I didn’t know what to expect as compared to all the movies I had seen. I enjoyed it but kept wondering where I would hear Dr. Jekyll’s side of the story. That came at the very last chapter. It is the movies that provide a more in-depth look into the characters. A quick read.

Classic!
Had never read this classic. Very good but in a style and diction some modern readers will find hard—no text abbreviations or emojis for sure. And it is not so much a monster horror tale as a look in man’s sinfulness…

A Timeless Classic That Still Thrills
After reading 88 pages and revisiting 43 key passages, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde remains as compelling and eerie as ever. The story’s exploration of duality and human nature is gripping, and the writing style keeps you engaged from start to finish. This edition from Reader's Library Classics is easy to navigate and preserves the charm of the original 1886 text. Perfect for both first-time readers and fans of classic literature, it’s a must-have for anyone who enjoys suspenseful and thought-provoking stories.

Read it today, it's only 90 pages
I've read many classics, but somehow never got around to reading this one. It's only 90 pages and I read it in two nights. Needless to say, the movies based on it add all sorts of new characters and plots because the story itself is very basic. It's certainly of a different tone than Stevenson's other famous novel, Treasure Island. If you haven't read this, do so. It is a classic for a reason
