Produced in the early 70's Phillipe Druillet's unique style of art and story telling has stood the test of time. The Lone Sloane stories do not have the emotional or character building elements common to later or modern works, but instead rely on high concept and neo-mystical tropes to tell stories with depth and imagination and in a stream of consciousness style. The results are highly detailed, chaotic and exciting. Despite being 50 years old at this point some of the high concept Sci-fi tropes in Lone Sloane are surprisingly fresh and still well ahead of most contemporary competition. The artwork is a fusion of modernist illustration and energetic and sweeping neo-classicism that produce a slew of iconic and memorable scenes and innovative designs. Careful readers will see a number of features that clearly inspired later and better known creative artists across fantasy and science fiction genres. Review: One of the best comic artists ever. Leider erst zu spät gesehen, dass die Box an einer Stelle stark beschädigt ist. Gerade bei einem Boxed Set in der Preiskategorie sollte die Versandverpackung etwas robuster Ausfallen. Aber gut, wer bei Amazon bestellt, bekommt Amazon "Service. Die Comics selbst sind zum Glück unbeschadet.
