Liberty Hardware 129847 18-Inch Coat and Hat Rail/Rack with 4 Heavy Duty Hooks, White and White

Installed in the bathroom. Now I have some place to hang my bathrobe instead of the door handle. Had to use a longer screw, but it's a solid piece, well made.

We bought this to go in our bathroom to replace a metal rail/rack that had rusted. We needed something to hold towels near the shower, and we wanted something with at least four hooks (as we have four people in our family). Our bathroom has no exhaust/ventilation fan to help with moisture, and despite using a dehumidifier, our walls still get so wet that we can't seem to keep the paint from peeling and are constantly battling mildew, so any item we install in the bathroom has to be something that is less likely to rust, warp, or mildew. We've had this rack for over a month now, and so far so good. It's nothing fancy, but it looks sleek and unobtrusive (and a nice white accent on a pale lavender wall). We like that each separate hook actually has two hooks, so it can hold two towels or other items and still be kept separate by household member if you wanted. The hooks are coated and aren't showing any sign of rust, and the white paint/coating is still a nice bright white. We did, however, go out and buy separate coated screws to use to install the rack, as the screws that came with it were not coated, and we were concerned they would rust over time. (As the rack is labeled a coat and hat rack, we didn't consider the non-coated screws a mark against it, as it's not labeled for bathroom use; it's just something to keep in mind if you're going to use it in a high-moisture area.) It does seem sturdy enough to hold heavier items, like coats, although we haven't tried anything much heavier than towels. If you intend to use it with heavy items, I would suggest using wall anchors for your screws.

Did not include the buttons to cover the two screws.

This is a nice hefty piece of wood painted white, with shiny nickel hooks. it looks nice and was easy to put up. I find the screws enclosed do hold up the weight of this just fine, and if that changes over time I will update this review.I preferred it to other similar models because the hooks are spaced further apart--about 3.5 inches apart. The other models I saw had four hooks in 13 inches--so tightly spaced I'd end up not using all the hooks anyway.Looks-wise, I say this is a very nice-looking rack which will look great in most modern apartments. It still has a little 'Home Depot' look to it though, so I wouldn't install it in an area where you're looking for something a little special. Not taking off a star for that, since it's perfect for my closet reorganizing project. This rack would also be great for a laundry room, boot room where you want to hang coats etc.Another thing to consider is that just buying four hooks and installing them would be less expensive. I chose to get this because it seemed easier and faster to put up than measuring and fussing with four individual hooks in a plaster wall. It looks great and is stable on the wall, so I'm very happy with my decision to spend a bit extra.

Purchased for my bathroom!! Loved it

This is the second time I’ve purchased this 4-hook hanging rack. I wanted another one for my master bath and it’s identical to the first one I purchased. This is a beautiful white hanging rack. Took my husband maybe 5 minutes to install. Comes with mounting screws.

It looks really great on the wall and is very sturdy. You should know that if you get it, the holes are not level with each other so don't drill the holes based on measuring alone (it doesn't show at all on the wall). You really need to put something in the hole to mark where you're going to drill. This brings me to my only complaint. The holes are so deep and since they aren't sunk with any kind of a cap, it was impossible to find a pencil or pen long and skinny enough to go through the hole to the wall. No big deal, I took the anchor off of a compass, put some ink on the end with a marker, and when I stuck it through the hole the ink left a little dot on the wall. The only reason I said four and not five stars was that they didn't sink the holes to accommodate a pencil, and it doesn't come with a cap to hide the screw heads, which are painted white so they don't show much.

My husband installed this on the closet door by our garage for everyone to hang our coats when coming into the house. My family has a habit of hanging their coats on the banister and it was driving me nuts. The door he hung it on is one of those hollow typical doors in newer homes, if that makes sense, and it seems to have hung well. It does not wobble, and has held up to the weight of winter coats. It has held no more than 4 coats at a time.The only issue we have had with it is when he installed the rack, and it was fairly easy to install, is that when he was screwing in the screws the drill "chewed" up the white paint and wood a bit where the screws go into the rack. I am not sure if that is the way the self is built or if our drill was an odd size to put the screws in to hang the rack. Either way that is the only complaint that I have had about the self.

I am very happy with this product. It is a good quality and sturdy item. My only tiny problem is that I mounted this on the back of my bedroom door and the screws it came with were too long for that application. I had to use shorter screws, which consequently weren’t white to match the backplate. But, it works just as well and functions the way I intended. So, overall, not complaints.

Does what it is supposed to do. It holds 2 heavy winter parkas and scarves so it's pretty sturdy and I can't complain.

Well-made. Solid. Simple. And almost perfectly match those already in our new house. Very pleased.
