This is a great little book, Ilove the map of thoughts, gives the reader a visual idea of the relationship and influences of t he different lines of thinking, of classical philosophers.Each chapter is comprehensible short explanation in the main ideas of the philosopher, it has a a further conclusion that reviews those ideas at the end of each chapter.Great as an introductory overview of one wishes to take a deeper further study on any of the classic philosophers, this book is ideal for taking a "peek" before comiting to a full study..It can be readed in order, by philosophy, or by philosopher..I recommended it ..

This book is exactly what I was looking for to give me a wide breadth overview of classical philosophy. After I read it I bought 2 more copies to give to friends. It is a nice easy read for anyone, and you don't have to be a philosophy buff to appreciate it. I especially enjoyed the print size and the carefully selected diagrams and photos in the book.
