Great upgrade for a vintage machine
I bought this to upgrade from the original clutch motor on a vintage Consew 226R sewing machine. Install was very straightforward and I didn’t have to alter the mounting position of the new motor meaning I could use the preexisting holes in the table. Installation took me about 45 min from start to finish. This motor is a variable speed motor and what’s nice about this one is that the speed control is easily accessible on the front of the power switch unit. Most servo motors put the speed control on or near the actual motor so you have to go under the table to make adjustments. This unit also has a 110 volt outlet on the back of the power switch assembly for plugging in a light, which is handy. If you need to upgrade to a new servo motor on your industrial machine, look no further!

This motor works well!
My husband made the table and this motor was easy to install. It works great with my leather patcher machine.

Toss that clutch
This motor fit up perfectly to my Juki LU562. I am not brave enough to sew at the high speeds of the original clutch motor. This servo motor has more power than the original clutch motor and is probably 1/5 the weight. I’ve had no trouble sewing through anything I can get under the foot even at the slowest speed. It probably took me about 30-45 minutes to swap out the motor taking my time. Instructions weren’t great but as long as this isn’t your first time holding a wrench you should be fine.

Day and night difference
My industrial sewing machine is a clone of the Pfaff 545. Upholstering has been a hobby of mine for over 25 years and the machine has served me well. However, with a clutch motor it was somewhat difficult with which to sew. Replacing the clutch motor with the Consew servo motor brought the machine to a higher level. Because my table was so old, I had to drill three holes to mount the servo motor. If I were grading my machine, I would give it a C for the 25 plus years I used it with the clutch motor. I would now give it an A- for how it performs with the servo motor.

Excellent
I am so happy with this motor. I replaced the old clutch motor on my Juki LU562 with this. It is so quiet and I can actually control my machine now. It isn't a complete runaway.

Awesome motor
This motor kit is awesome. I am using it for a welding turntable. It has great power and a very wide speed range 200rpm-4200rpm.

Great product
Control down to 500 stitches per minute makes it a good choice for leather. Have stitched together 2 9 oz strips with no issues. If you need to sew up some granite this will get it.
