I got this key to finally start learning CW. At the suggestion of the Long Island CW Club and Straight Key Club I am going with a straight key to help "pound out" the code as I learn it, to add muscle memory to the mix of learning tools.

This device comes with a connector that fits a PC Audio jack and not the one the plugs into CW jack of a HAM Radio. You will need to purchase a 1/8 to 1/4 adaptor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EJ5UV3C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). When I opened the box, a part fell out. It was the upper contact electrical post. I had to put it back in place via press fit. The unit is nice lookin, sturdy and heavy. I also find that the action spring is pretty stiff. Every bit worth the modest price aside from the fact that I do have to spend additional money for an adaptor.

It is heavy, and take it from an old A1 Op., it is perfect for learning or building your skills with. I have not used one in 30 years and I was able to send perfect CW using it. It is heavy and set up perfectly.de W7LPZ
