Great product and value, works great on Ender 3
Easy to install, I took my time with it but if I had wanted to rush through it I probably could have installed in under 30 minutes. Parts are quality and the metal plate for the hotend mount really makes it extra nice. Performance is great and it's nice to be able to dial the retraction down so I don't have to worry nearly as much about blocks or clogs. I've probably run the printer for at least 80 hours since installing and no issues or ringing/ghosting on prints. The only real issue with the install is that the newer Ender 3s are shipping with an adjuster screw on the extruder that extends out further than the original so I had to drill/hollow out a section of the spacer in the kit to make room for it. It only took a few minutes but might be worth PrinterMods putting out an update for it. I'll probably end up designing a replacement because I also want to use the spacer as a mount for drag cable chain since I'm not a fan of the overall look with the tubing mounted on the front of the gantry.

Excellent materials, great Direct Drive Kit.
Excellent Direct Drive kit. Fits perfectly on my Ender 3 Pro. The Hero Me didn't fit, but the remix from Teaching Tech fits like a glove. I'm using 1mm retract and no coast and almost got zero stringing using PETG. The quality of the materials is awesome, no 3d printed parts, all metal main plate. Easy instructions. The suggested wiring is a little weird so I routed the cables as the original. Looks clean and neat. The quality of my prints improved a lot.I 100% recommend this kit. You can't go wrong.

Doesn't fit newer Ender 5 Pro
I'm actually not sure how many stars to give this product. After I got it to work, it's 5 stars, but in order to get it working, it was more like 3. If you have a printer with a red extruder, like you see in the picture, the part that is supposed to hold the extruder on the carriage plate, will not fit. Also, the injection molding seems to be on the low quality side. The same adapter broke after just trying to hold it onto the extruder. I had to print my own part, leaving room for the tensioning screw. After that, everything fit and installed very quickly. The kit works great, I can print flexible filaments without problem, print faster, and very little retraction. Since the filament is much less restricted leading up tho the extruder, the print quality is much better. All the advantages of direct drive, for very little money. Like I said before, after you get it to work it's a very good 5-star product.

wish this came as factory standard
First let me state I ordered the cr 10 version.I like the rigidity of this adapter plate and installing the plate itself is quite simple. If you order the cr10 version you do not need a bowden tube connector on the feeder side of the extruder going to the hotend, there are a couple video's on youtube that shows them putting one on this will cause you much aggrivation since when you do this you have the hotend connector and the extruder connector wanting to occupy the same space.just use one on the hotend and cut a bowden tube to lenght to be as close to the extruder gear as you can be this will be trial and error but once you get it to the right lenth loading is easy and this baby will rock and roll .you will need to adjust your retraction settings or you will get clogs i set mine to .6 from a 6mm with a bowden tube and it works awesome you will also have to adjust your esteps for feed.this is the easiest direct drive system i have found that is sturdy enough and light enough to really make you wish this had come installed from the factory.fan shrouds are hard to find if you have only one printer you might want to head over to thingiverse and look for one that will fit the low clearence you now have. Also would be great if some fang fan shrouds were developed for this product since original one you need to use is not the best.

Get an aluminum extruder upgrade to do with it..
Comes with all the screws and parts you need - the instructions aren't bad, but make some assumptions. The overall result has been fantastic. The fear of additional weight on the axis is moot - this drives just like a Prusa MK3S - and uses the same settings now too. Been running a lot of PETG without any troubles at all - the stock fan housing remains and works great. Feeding filament has been simple and trouble free as well. Great upgrade!

Really solid product
I was looking for a simple solution for a direct drive, or close to a direct drive, system for my ender 3 pro. At just under $35 this "upgrade" was exactly what I was looking for. I've been having multiple issues with the stock bowden tube and the upgraded capricorn tube coming loose and/or slipping on long prints and this product basically eliminated it while still being able to basically use the stock equipment that came with the printer as well as not needing any firmware tweaks.I did have an issue with my dual geared extruder not working so I went back to using the all metal extruder I had upgraded awhile back and it works great! Well worth the money to upgrade and get a similar direct drive experience without spending $100s on another kit.

Aluminum bracket was great, just wish it fit the Ender 3 V2.
Downgraded to 1 star because it does not work with Ender 3v2 even if you print out the modified fan shroud. I did check there printermods website to see that it worked before I purchased it. I fiddled with this for over a month. The problem ends up being you can not tight the x axis wheels enough to eliminate wobbling in the hot end assembly. I tried everything I could think of. To no avail. I fiddled with it for so long I can not return it but I figured it was simply my inexperience that was at issue but you can only put things together in so many ways. Washers might help but according to their instructions this isn't necessary. The first one that arrived was literally just a blue tube. Had to wait 3 days for another set to arrive. Took me about 4 hours of modifying to get it put together only to realize that the cooling shoot hangs to far below. Unfortunately I've already cut a tab off of the hot end shroud and I'm not sure I have the ability to print a replacement shroud. On printermods website it lists the Ender 3 V2 specifically but this must be different.
